What a fabolous work!!!! Congratulations!!! Regards from México!!!
We were very lucky and were given a tour of the hangar by Jeff last month. Great guy and great project!
Many greetings from Germany!
Wow wow wow love this
Gotta preserve history and honor those that have sacrificed so much!
KEEP 'EM FLYING!
Very cool. I hope there are some updates soon on the 109, Val, and Airacomet too. Those are really exciting restorations that I know any enthusiast have been eagerly watching for years now.
I would LOVE to see them get the Val restored properly and running again. I assume Bob Diemert passed along the factory blueprints when he made the trade with POF?
I almost thought it was Kermits for a second
Is this the one that's going to be at the Camarillo airshow this weekend? Or another?
I knew there was an A-26 in the collection but had little idea of her provenance
Is Larry related to Merle Gustafson?
First!
Just wondering, are there any surviving Martin b-26s?
Kermit Weeks has one. It could fly with some work.
per wikipedia, there are a handful of survivors. In the USA, one is airworthy and two are on display. en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Martin_B-26_Marauder#Surviving_aircraft
Just a few. Kermit weeks is the only one close to flying. MAPS air museum finally got theirs together but gave up on making it airworthy, but it is on its wheels and together. I used to work on it as a kid. There's may be 6 surviving airframes if I remember correctly
GFY
