Went to the Seattle Fish Guys today and gave them a try. It was as good as you said. They were out of the Smoked Salmon Belly, but they had us try the smoked salmon and it was wonderful. Had the Cajun Seafood bowl and loved it! And the Blackened black Cod was amazing!

I Just wanted to toss in the fact that sometimes Ying eats first :) !! (And Mark waits...) He has said so, in a vlog a good while ago. If she is very hungry, she eats first, and she pretty much always, has fruits and snacks available. It depends occasionally on the circumstances surrounding the meal to be filmed though, I would imagine. They will stop and get her a snack or meal elsewhere first. Ying loves food too :) I She is wonderful and I love when she laughs! I think she has a beautiful laugh! :) She might or might not... actually be sitting in the car the whole time because we don't actually see every minute. Some places maybe she gets out & shops or walks or situations are a bit different than they appear. That's just my humble opinion and some things Mark has said & I've watched every video! :) :)

I’ve watched many food RUclips channels but your channel is one I watch daily! You have so many videos I honestly can watch ones I’ve never seen as well as rewatch ones I’ve seen years ago. Food Ranger turned me onto your channel and while I’ve never commented before I felt the need too. I know you were just in LA but I think you should come to San Francisco! The city has so much to offer. Even the outskirts of the city has much to give to your pallet. ( I’m a NorCal native, ) but lived in Seattle for five years. Was happy you visited Ballard as well. Due to medical issues I can’t eat most of what you eat but I live through you and Ying. My husband makes fun of me because he says I torture myself lol. Keep eating HOT! This was quite a display of fantastic dishes. The paste looked heavenly, especially the Paccheri. The seafood was another winner - I think that the Poke Sampler can make any seafood lover fall in love. Never heard of a smoked salmon bun before - I bet it was scrumptious. The salmon kiss was priceless 💋, and that Caribbean Roast Pork Sandwich left me speechless!
I'm pretty new to Mark's channel and I love it! The closest I've heard him say that he's not impressed with a food was that Instant Ramen isn't his favourite. Everything he eats seems to get a compliment. So good to see someone finding the good in things rather than searching out for the bad. Thanks Mark for all your enthusiasm and effort to create these video's. :)
This Seattlite was so glad to watch your couple of vlogs on our amazing food culture here! You can't beat the seafood but there are also some out of the way surprises, several places that are actually homecooked (for instance, a couple of Ethiopian and soul food spots), a sushi place that is a legacy from Master Hiro, a very old traditional dim sum place in the International District, and so on. But boy, those oysters and miso smoked salmon have me yearning. One thing to know though as Bourdain (blessed be his memory) explained on a visit here, that the Pike Market "fish throwers" thankfully don't abuse the flesh of great salmon constantly -- they have a stand in fish that is used throughout the day for the toss. You help make the world a better place!

Jade garden dim sum is also amazing, and there's a lot of ramen shops to chose from! if you're willing to travel a bit south to tacoma, check out the 6th ave food scene. Red Hot hot dogs, La Ca Bar vietnamese street food, ice cream social....the list goes on! Have a blast, and dress warmly!

I'm so glad you love my city! This is an amazing food city, everyone who travels to eat should visit for a few days at least once. I'm really glad Mark stopped at Un Bien and tried their classic sandwich. My favorite on their menu is the Smokin' Thighs, because the marinade on the chicken is just next-level.

LOVE Seattle. You can absolutely eat yourself bowlegged there. Fish/shellfish lover's paradise. Very friendly people, unless you're from California - then they just want you to go home, lest you think about moving there! The raw materials you find in an average supermarket are jaw-dropping. I recall hoofing it down to a now-gone Larry's Market in Queen Anne, and picking up a whole Dungeness crab for $3.99/lb, foraged Chanterelle shrooms for $5.99/lb, and a bottle of Oregon Pinot Gris for 5 or 6 bucks, and cooking myself a dinner fit for a king, right in my hotel room. If you haven't gone, you should go. Seriously!

You can't beat the seafood but there are also some out of the way surprises, several places that are actually homecooked (for instance, a couple of Ethiopian and soul food spots), a sushi place that is a legacy from Master Hiro, a very old traditional dim sum place in the International District, and so on. But boy, those oysters and miso smoked salmon have me yearning. One thing to know though as Bourdain (blessed be his memory) explained on a visit here, that the Pike Market "fish throwers" thankfully don't abuse the flesh of great salmon constantly -- they have a stand in fish that is used throughout the day for the toss. ive been to some of the places mark has been to over the years that Ive followed him, and Ive learned that sometimes he may have a really good and awesome experience because he is recognized or because of the camera. and sometimes when I go as a regular guy, its just a whatever place.

check out dick's drive in burgers [a seattle staple] and din tai fung [an amazing dumpling house based in hong kong]. Jade garden dim sum is also amazing, and there's a lot of ramen shops to chose from! if you're willing to travel a bit south to tacoma, check out the 6th ave food scene. Red Hot hot dogs, La Ca Bar vietnamese street food, ice cream social....the list goes on! Have a blast, and dress warmly!

I'm really glad Mark stopped at Un Bien and tried their classic sandwich. My favorite on their menu is the Smokin' Thighs, because the marinade on the chicken is just next-level.

LOVE Seattle. You can absolutely eat yourself bowlegged there. Fish/shellfish lover's paradise. Very friendly people, unless you're from California - then they just want you to go home, lest you think about moving there! The raw materials you find in an average supermarket are jaw-dropping. I recall hoofing it down to a now-gone Larry's Market in Queen Anne, and picking up a whole Dungeness crab for $3.99/lb, foraged Chanterelle shrooms for $5.99/lb, and a bottle of Oregon Pinot Gris for 5 or 6 bucks, and cooking myself a dinner fit for a king, right in my hotel room. If you haven't gone, you should go. Seriously!
