  • Richard Dawkins, the world’s most famous atheist, has admitted that he is a “Cultural Christian.” What does it mean for him to claim that? Could he simply be enjoying the fruits of Christianity without acknowledging and appreciating its true source? Ideas do have consequences and it appears Dawkins struggles to find a basis for preferring Christianity over Islam for example. On this episode of the Apologetics.com show, Dr. Harry Edwards, along with Dr. Jacob Daniel and Lenny Esposito leads a discussion on the parasitic nature of Dawkins’ Christianity and how for the skeptic may serve as a signal of transcendence.

The meaning of Cultural Christian is the same as Recovering Alcoholic. Same behaviors, same attitude.

Christianity exists because of Jesus. Jesus followed Jewish law but revised it into something everyone could follow and required more fellowship and faith and in tune with the spirit.
