I’m an american who’s family is originally from Afghanistan. I love how the same women who can look menacingly-badass while making war chants can also look so sweet and comfy and sing so softly and angelically sitting on a couch w/a blanket.
Moko you are more Maori looking then some my kids and Moko's...LoL ... Daym they look Pakeha , Asian , African and some even Maori , and your right it's not how much Maori you have , it's the Wairua and Aroha that matters . Oh an by the way you have a wonderful voice no doubt the Combo of Italian/ Maori helped out there ! All the best to you and your whanau!
I absolutely love your attitude and your mana in who you are.... That's the biggest thing we can teach our children to be true and strong in who you are.... No matter the haters. My son is cookisland decent and like yourself and myself are very fair... Even at school with whanau around as teachers he was still discriminated against, he tried to learn and participate in his culture within his school but always got knocked back for the assumptions your just white... But like you my son's mana runs strong and he too knows who he is and is proud to be cookisland. Keep sharing your story I am sure there are many who are feeling the same!!! Love this and love this for you.... You seem like such a beautiful soul!!! Thankyou xx
Even having a drop of Māori blood in you. Makes you true Māori. And because you know your Pēpehā, whakapapa it makes you even more connected! By the way, there are heaps of fair skinned, blonde hair, blue eyed Māori. We call them Urukehu. Noreira, Ngati Kahungunu, tena koutou!
@[ropata] With the integration of our history into the school curriculum is a big step for educating the future generations. Things Māori have more exposure publicly than before. Although we have difficulties, but are culture is flourishing once again
True. As long as you acknowledge certain privileges that come with being perceived as Pākehā in Te Kotahitanga o Ūropi, I see no reason for the stigma in acknowledging their Māori identity.
Tena koe e hoa i have alot of fair Maori in my whanau. Ignore the haters e hoa you know your whakapapa and conmections ko tera te mea nui ❤ Aww you have a beautiful voice I love your stance on the korero nanakia funny how its from Pakeha or Islanders
Only just found this video and you're one of many rangitahi making us proud. I don't know why you would think you don't look Māori it's quite obvious to me and I'm sure many others. We know our own. Māori come in all shapes, sizes and colours e.g. Asian features, African features, blonde hair blue eyes, etc etc...who cares? If the blood of the tangata whenua flows through their veins then they're ours... they're Māori!
You are beautiful. There are many Māori who don't "look" Māori, who look like you, and who look whiter but who are fluent in te reo and who embrace their heritage.
This is why we can't judge a book by skin colour. I've got Asian, Pakeha and African looking whanau and also got some Iraqi grand nephs and nieces running around. Kia kaha on uou6r journey of life

My Granmother was full Maori. I have a little white blood in me. But mostly maori.Alot of Maori cant even acknowledge their bloodline. Imagine that walking around not knowing who you are and being ashamed of who you are. All I say is Whatever rocks your boat

You do look Maori, you have Maori features and i guess it helps, you also have Italian blood in your veins......we Maori look like many other indigenous races and they us, we are all connected....i too am Maori, a very fair Maori and have always been called white......i tell them Maori is not your skin colour, it is your heart and i have a very Maori heart, i wish people would get over that.....i was in Trinidad not so long ago, was going into the bank and there was a vagrant sitting on the ground, as i passed him, i heard him mutter something and then i heard, "you WHITE PEOPLE", this individual wasnt black himself, he was a brown brother, I turned to him, did my best pukana and in a low voice and very slowly, i said, "I am NOT WHITE!" What makes matters worse is, i suffer from vitiligo 🤦🏾♀️ Next time i go there, i will have my moko kauai, that will really confuse them 😂😂😂😂😂
A windscreen wiper (Commonwealth English) or windshield wiper (American English) is a device used to remove rain, snow, ice, washer fluid, water, or debris from a vehicle's front window. Almost all motor vehicles, including cars, trucks, buses, train locomotives, and watercraft with a cabin-and some aircraft-are equipped with one or more such wipers, which are usually a legal requirement. A wiper generally consists of a metal arm; one end pivots, and the other end has a long rubber blade attached to it. The arm is powered by a motor, often an electric motor, although pneumatic power is also used for some vehicles. The blade is swung back and forth over the glass, pushing water, other precipitation, or any other impediments to visibility from its surface. The speed is usually adjustable on vehicles made after 1969, with several continuous rates and often one or more intermittent settings. Most personal automobiles use two synchronized radial-type arms, while many commercial vehicles use one or more pantograph arms.
