Hi Danit! Thank you so much for those kind words. 😉oh I can’t wait to start doing Fall fragrance videos!!! Coming in September. It’s just starting to get hot this week so I need a few more weeks with my freshies. 💕
I love Valentino donna!! been wearing it so much recently. i think it was discontinued because i never see it in sephora anymore which is a shame because its much more unique and interesting than valentino born in roma (which is all they tend to have nowadays) IMHO
Hi there! It is so pretty and I don’t know why ppl don’t talk about it. It’s a gorgeous classic. I bought mine at Nordstrom’s and I just checked their website and they still sell it so I don’t think it’s been discontinued yet.
What a great list! I have Montblanc Signature and SI Fiore and find when I don’t know what fragrance to put on I reach for one of these two usually! I also have Gris Dior & NR For Her EDT & couldn’t agree more with your description. Thanks Chris 🤍
I love Chance eau tendre, it’s beautiful and such a mood lifter. Gris Dior is so elegant, another Rose/patchouli scent I enjoy is YSL Elle and it’s also very easy to wear.
One infuriating thing about fragrance sampling, which has been a very expensive form of research, is that even if I BELIEVE that I know which fragrance notes appeal to me, and can get a grasp on basic fragrance descriptions and accords ON PAPER, the reality can often be surprising. Not always in a good way. There are so many rose-ouds that are repulsive on my skin. I THINK that I dislike peach in a fragrance and then along comes Byredo's 'Bibliotheque' candle and Roja Dove's original 'Enigma Parfum'. I THINK that I hate 'fruity' scents and then along comes Atelier des Ors 'Rose Omeyyade' with the lovely rose and raspberry dance followed by Kemi Blending Magic's delightful smoky raspberry 'Aurum. I am no closer to understanding what it is I really like or really dislike because all these ingredients that I despise in SOME compositions absolutely delight me in others. I wonder if other serious fragrance collectors hunting for that perfect signature scent know what I'm talking about. What a wild gamble it always is, huh?
Yes!!! It happens all of the time. I gave up trying to find a signature scent. I looked for 20 years and realized I don’t want just one fragrance. I have a handful of my favorite. That’s as close as I get. 😉❤️
@@ThePerfumeNest I forgot to mention 'lavender mixed with woods' is another vibe which I THOUGHT that I despised, especially after sampling the olfactory horror show that is 'Music For a While' by Frederic Malle. Ah but then along comes Fort & Manle's 'Mr Bojnokoff's Purple Hat'. One of the most delicious fragrances I've tried in years and it's got an oud, vanilla and dark chocolate accord going on. Like sweet cigars or juicy pipe tobacco smoke mixed with upscale boutiques and clean people in 5-Star hotels. Possibly a great alternative for someone who wears Tom Ford's 'Tobacco Vanille'. I squint dubiously at all fragrance descriptions now, knowing that it really is impossible to guess what a combination of notes will smell like-- even if I think I'm staring at the devil incarnate it turns out to be a case of mistaken identity; it'll turn out to be a little fairy tale gnome doing a happy little dance in the garden. I give everything a try these days and my greatest delights have come after I've taken a gamble. Have a lovely week.
@@ThePerfumeNest Oh god, I truly hope you'll never have to! :DThe key warning sign before you pay for your ticket and willingly enter the circus tent is the word 'phenolic'. No good EVER comes from that word when used to describe a fragrance. Take Stephane Humber Lucas's 'Oumma' and Boadicea The Victorious's 'Zayed 2018'. Oh god...I still have weird fever dreams like lost scenes from Apocalypse Now.
Unfortunately I did not have luck with the Gris Dior or the NR on my skin, I think patchouli and I just don't get along. Philosophy Amazing Grace is my favorite easy reach.
Very informative. Thank you! I love Valentino Donna and I always wonder why it is rarely mentioned in the fragrance community. Another fragrance along the lines of Valentino Donna is Eau de Soir by Sisley. It is very, very elegant but maybe to a younger nose it would seem a little dated. It is my scent of the day. It is one of those fragrances that makes you feel so classy when wearing it. I would love your opinion on that one.
Hi Bella!!!! I think the same thing….it’s a beauty that ppl just don’t talk about (Valentino Donna). And I love Eau de Soir! It’s my “Boss Lady” fragrance. I will show it on an upcoming “Boss Lady” video. 😉❤️it is very unique, classy, vintagey but not outdated….timeless.

Before I started collecting perfumes, I used to only really have a bottle at a time and wear it all the time. Guess that's the definition of a signature scent :) the last one I had was Miracle by Lancome :) wore it almost everyday until I finished the bottle, was a lovely fragrance, didn't let me down!
