Betty Ann Bruno-The Hula Lady

Betty Ann Bruno has lived a fascinating life. Born in Hawaii, she moved to Hollywood and landed a role as a munchkin in the Wizard of Oz. Of mixed race, she later found who she was by learning from a hula teacher in Oakland, California. She later became one of the first Asian American TV reporters in the Bay area. Betty Ann eventually retired to Sonoma where she formed her own dance troupe. Now at age 90, she continues to teach and perform hula on a regular basis.
