Just bought this yesterday from Sam Ash. VERY happy with it. Was looking at the LX-5 but figured for a few bucks more this would spread the effect around some more. Very responsive to music. When music stops, light stays lit and still as if waiting for more music hehe. Once music starts back up it does its thing.
I have 4 of these. They are OK but that's it. Only 2 changes would need be made to make these lights absolutely amazing. change the multiple LEDS to a single 10W white LED and the place coloured mirror from the mini moon on the stepper motor. That's it and this little scanner will rock up a dancefloor
i just bought this and wanted to know what would compliment this well for a hip hop techno ish show cause we will only have this and four colored flood lights thanks for your help
1. can this be used outdoors? 2. do you need a controller for this to work, or can you just plug it in, and it does its thing? I am new to this. thanks in advance.
The chauvet moon flowers are all about the same brightness. J5 LX5 LX10 Vue 1(1.1) All about the same. when all the LEDS are on in strobe mode they are about as bright as a 50w bulb. when individual colours are on - considerably less bright.
Well, a Moon-flower effect is pretty standard....ADJ and other lighting companies have almost exactly the same effect, just different colors. But to tell you the truth, this light isn't bad, its good to fill gaps and stuff, if only they made a linkable version, i would buy it.

i got one and its bloody bright. when it shines in my eyes i had to look away
