The Quad Cortex sounds better than the kemper. The Kemper Loses some of the low mids when playing through a cab. The Quad cortex fixed that issue. This is why everyone is switching over to them.

Damn, I hope it’s just more accurate low mids and not necessarily “more.” Depending on the profile in the Kemper, like a Bogner for example, the lows are overwhelming cranked up through a cab. I’m interested to try a QC still.

@@MrRyanshreds It is more accurate. I've watched someone compare an amp, a kemper profile of the amp & the quad profile of the same amp & the quad was better across the board. even when i turned my back i couldn't tell the difference between the amp & the quad. The kemper i could tell cause it was missing something.

V30’s are 60w rms. That makes a 4X12 240 rms, not low wattage in my experience.

I think we meant more like, when you compare them to the G12k100 or a Swamp thing. 100- 120 watt speakers.

@@MrRyanshreds He mentioned hearing low wattage speakers in an EVH Cab....those speakers are heritage greenbacks which are 20 watt speakers & are used on countless recordings now. those cabs are amazing.

@@MrRyanshreds I get ya homeboy, I think a lot of peeps think v30’s are 30w still to this day. Killer content, new sub.

MK III has an extra gain stage. The Master reverb has diod clipping instead of the 4 gain stages. It was the first JCM 900s. It's a great amp. The SLX was the last iteration of the 900.

@MrRyanshreds also its a 2100 the high gain dual reverb was a 4500. What is crazy to me and throws alot of people off is the Mark 3 tag. It's a 2100. Remember it has a extra preamp tube like the slx but the slx sounds horrible to my ears. It also has 4 preamp tubes but it's really brittle 80s metal sounding where the 2100 mk 3 sounds open like a JCM 800 with just more balls. Think about the time. It was around the time everyone was getting JMP and JCM800s moded for more gain.
