Japanese does have a lot of "L" sound like "Risou" at 1:44 the "R" in Japanese will sound a lot like "L" sound and other times the "R" will sound like a rolling R.
I was thinking the same. The L doesn't excist in Japanese. I don't really know about the sound of R being different in English, since it's more like the R in Dutch, I think. (which is my mothertongue) :)
