    I went on this Ferry to Belfast. Great memories. It's really impressive. Just the consumption was far too high.

    The Stena Carisma that used to travel from gothenburg has been parked in the port of gothenburg for quite a few years now and it's always a sad sight. But it's better than scrapped, I guess...

      @@alexv8051 they have been designing rocket propelled roller skates for a number of years in Mexico. They just don't have the regulations there so it's a good place to test these type of contraptions before they hit the mainstream countries. Only 49 people have died so far but the technology is slowly improving.

    What was I supposed to see to substantiate your claims of size and speed? The most exciting thing was when it made a Starboard turn at five minutes and going so slowly sea gulls were passing it. It was like watching a mystery in which the interesting bits and pieces occurred off stage. For an interesting ferry ride check the ones in New Zealand or Nova Scotia. I'm sure you meant well but....just what did your mean?

      Dublin to Holyhead is is 60 miles. The regular ferries take 3 hrs. 30 mins. The Fast ferry took only 90 minutes. Figure it out. I did not o at speed in harbour for safety reasons. Once out of out of Dublin Bay her turn of speed was spectacular.

      +kpetters Apparently it is being stripped out and turned into housing, a floating block of flats. No idea where it will end up but sometime soon 2 tugs are going to take it away. It costs too much to run fuel wise and is currently costing £24,000 a month to keep it docked. It's been sold for £2,000.000

    This is NOT the biggest fast ferry in the world both the Spirit of Tasmaina' 2 fast ferries at 29.000 tons and 31knots that sail between Melbourne and Devonport are bigger and faster HSS Explorer,

    • @armslides2105
      @armslides2105 5 лет назад

      HSS had service speed of 40kn, both Spirit of Tasmania ferries are considered superfast, not high speed with a service speed of 30.8kn. Superfast and HSS are two different classes of ships.

  • @BrianBallardmasalaicno
    @BrianBallardmasalaicno 5 лет назад

    Nope, a little operation near Hobart, Tasmania makes the largest and fastest cruising at 60 knots... This one appears to be stuck on a mud/sand bar and looks significantly underpowered WTF???

    • @LukeWilson2003
