- ✨Nahant, Massachusetts! ✨
Let's goooo!🚗
Getting to Nahant Beach is easy. But in town there's very little parking - for non-residents - to explore the rest of the beautiful peninsula. Unless.... you visit in the off season, here's what to do!

Super shouts to Brett Henry Catering, George and KV!

I drove across The Causeway on November 23, 1973, 10 o'clock at night, never having seen Nahant before. I was going to stay with a friend of a friend for a couple of weeks. I woke up the next morning, looked around and said to myself, "I'm staying." I ended up renting a room there and stayed for 12 years. Then I carried my books across the lawn and moved next door, with my new wife, and stayed for 20 years. In 2005 we moved around the block an we're still here. The town is fighting off a huge development by Northeastern University right where you walked up to Lodge Park. We are a quiet, residential community and we want to stay that way.
I can so see why you stayed. It's a lovely neighborhood - thanks for sharing it for the day!!!
Great video! 🙂
Nahant was overcast, but somehow i saw a ray of sunshine ☀ throughout the video. outstanding job Alaina.
Most excellent Alaina. These stories are just perfect for someone that has never been or just driven through a small town. Take care.
thank you!!
You need your own TV show! Really enjoyed this one Alaina!

Alaina Pinto you rock!
So happy you are posting these travel videos!
Great to see your smile again.
Thank you!
I grew up on Bailey's Hill. That's Lemonade Sumac,, you can use it as a tart seasoning or brew a delicious iced tea with it.
I lived there 1960-61, I maintained the Nike elevators under Lodge Park, I lived in the tower on East Point.
Wow! How deep did the elevators go? I imagine that means you were familiar with the ladders there as well.
Awesome video, thanks Alaina
This was great!! You were in our neck of the woods lol...
Alaina thanks for the video my grandparents have lived in Nahant for almost 50 years been going there since I was born and now take my own kids there to the beach each summer! I’m glad you enjoy it there and thanks for the take out find I will have to try it the next time I visit.

What are they? They are like a cross between vans and muck boots. Or what I would call Nova Scotia sneakers.
