your interpretation of ‘war must be like art’ is exactly what i thought it meant on my first listen
The song is so new that no good explanations in the lyrics have come up in genius (which are all submitted by random people and upvoted)
Very few of his songs have any good explanations at all, no offense to the people that write them but the bladee genius editors seem like simpletons
his personal wars are like art. as an artist he has to fight to exist. listen to the instrumentals too please theyre just as emotive. where the buzzing lands (to the sound of a memory in the intro) tells its own story that can be interpreted differently. everything that makes the song is art. including thaiboys less cryptic verse as well as his outro that beautifully sums up the song as someone that has to push through the situation at hand. bladee has made references to being abandoned. he is a guy that likes to run as well as fight and is coping with that in adulthood. his work is describing that feeling. the song is both menacing and peaceful

I think in "love should be like war, and this war must be like art" he means not standart relationship between two people, like love this is something personal for each person (like art). There are usually two sides involved in a war like in relationship, and war can means you take everything in resources for achieve your goals in your own ideas and beliefs ( like in modern art)
or
two loving people secretly fight with each other so skillfully and elegantly without destroying the love between them that it can be presented as if the artist masterfully paints his art

Yeah, that second idea is interesting.
I think when he says "love should be like war and this war must be like art" he is taking the saying of "All's fair in love and war" and combining it with Sun Tzu's 'Art of War', basically saying that if you fall in love you need a strategy for the relationship.
I wonder if hes refrencing the book called "the war of art" its a book about creative blocks and stuff
it also makes me think about how good art often contains powerful emotions and expresses the extremes. I wonder if hes finding himself at a point in his career where thats difficult to do. What comes to mind is the doomer punk guy named negative xp that pointed out the paradox in one of his songs that he doesnt even know if he wants to get better mentally anymore because its what fuels his music and thats all he has.

i know you’ve said it feels like bladee likes riddles and looking at these lyrics now i feel like im looking at a riddle lol… i feel like he's probably not talking about actual war between military powers but perhaps more a personal or a spiritual one. im thinking kinda like the term jihad in isalm, which means struggle or strife (”al-jihād al-akbar = the greater jihad = the internal, spiritual struggle against the lower self”).
some of us are kinda in a constant war with ourselves and the world around us and as i understand it the meaning of the greater jihad is sort of that inner struggle against your own "evil inclinations" (sinning), to purify one’s heart and strive to do good and act in accordance with god’s will and path. and perhaps this is all connected with art for bladee, like a way of doing this inner war is thru art. and that these things are all interconnected - art, war, love, god. but idk
(i also know bladee reads a lot and often references literature and there are famous books like ”the art of war” by sun tzu that i have never read so idk if it has anything to do with these lyrics but yea)
