I've actually never heard of 'The Endless' before, but I think your suggestion really fits. Him saying he's 'Obsessed with Death' could very well be understood as a reference to him really liking the character from the show. The line near the end, 'I want your flesh,' could further feed into that reference, as he could mean wanting her to be a real person in flesh and blood instead of only being in a comic.
Also, bladee definitely is aware of the Endless as Yung Lean's dad actually translated a lot of Neil Gaiman books. Probably was intentional

When is bladee coming back to actually writing his lyrics? I've not found any bladee lyrics interesting since Crest. And it's a shame because bladee used to be my favorite artist :/

@@papasquat08 He's said in interviews that he doesn't write lyrics anymore and just freestyles. I don't remember when he started doing this, but I've found that lyrics after The Fool and Crest don't really hit as much as his older songs, at least for me.
This track is actually an exception, the lyrics sound pretty unique compared to what he's been talking about on songs for the past year or so.
in the highsnobiety interview in 2021 he said that he was getting back to writing again tho and that it was something he wanted to become better at. cus i def think there's been a lot of written lyrics on albums released 2021-2023. i'd assume probably a lot of stuff recorded in 2017-2020 were "freestyled" tho @@dgcharlie5360

@@dgcharlie5360 a freestyle is still his lyrics, hes probably just not writing them down or saving them and coming up with them on the spot. Apple is the same style. I never started listening to him for his lyrics but I like how hes always kept it clean compared to american rap
