This episode far exceeded my expectations, I got so engrossed in the whole story that I even forgot it was a fan made production, well done to all involved. This type of effort is what keeps the fans coming back for more. Also, I am loving the humour in the part near the end as Dominic, has to say to the Brigadier that the TARDIS is “Broken…!” So, so funny, he can save the world from annihilation but can't get the Tardis to work {he, he} don't you just love it! That's the kind of thing you'd expect David Tenant to come out with! 👍😉
I had a blast watching this. Certainly retains a lot of regenerative processes: flying while mid change, frying the controls and spinning out of control, and in this case, pressing every button because...he can. And he did. While it did lead to having to rebuild a tenuous friendship, it all worked out (its happened before and will again, after all). Hats off for including family of the Lethbridge-Stewart and Benton families, they were the heart of older UNIT (among a few others).
I can watch these fan films over and over and enjoy them every time. They are well done and well written. And enacted perfectly. Thank you for all the hard work.

I keep watching that last scene over again. Mr. Martin really nails it, the slump on the word, "Broken," the awkward snicker, the embarrassment in his eyes. This was the moment he became the Doctor to me.

So I'm like really late on this but I have to say HOLY HOW FAR HAS THIS SERIES COME. I first discovered the channel back in 2015 and I often would binge the series because it inspires me so much to continue creating. I am unfortunately only just getting around to being able to sit down and watch series 5 and the growth is something to really appreciate. The storytelling has never dwindled in all the years I have been watching the series and the creative direction just keeps getting more and more impressive. I remember the days of being in college, working on my own short films for film class, and stopping editing my own project at one point when I saw a video was uploaded showing the building process of the first concept TARDIS and how giddy and excited that made me. I am so proud of each and every one of you and how far you have been able to take this series. The dedication and the love for this project really shines through and also brings back some great memories for myself and the excitement that new episodes and behind the scenes videos bring. Honestly really incredible job. If one thing has remained the same throughout all these years it's definitely the hope to work with you guys someday! Keep being incredible and sharing these amazing stories because I really just can't get enough. Much love. 💜
"Well, I've managed ten thousand years of survival with only about 34 accidents." Has that given us a number of incarnations thus far for the fanfilm? The Doctor is on his 34th regeneration, so therefore his 35th body (more likely 34th because of the 10-10 regeneration that resulted in the Meta-Crisis Doctor)? I've only just managed to find the time to watch this, and I love it. Some rather funny moments, and definitely a good story. I remember watching this the first time, back when it first came out, and this has improved on it. The scene where the Doctor essentially freezes time around him to think up a plan was inspired, and executed perfectly. Also, I think purple really suits Dominic as the Doctor. And I like the design for the new sonic.

And this is only a dream, but wouldn't it be great if RTD did a story in which 14 explored the multiverse and encountered these "fan" Doctor's?
I love the scene where Dom gets his new TARDIS and clothes! It’s so heartwarming to see a doctor interact with their TARDIS imo, it’s just so cute that the doctor and their beloved vessel have gotten so in sync that they just bounce off each other

Woahhh... After seeing the original episode I was looking forward to series 5, but this remaster... It's in an entire league of its own! Those special effects when Megan falls from the TARDIS were bloody fantastic!

I found this series the other day, and binge-watched it all over the long weekend. What you guys have done is awesome, you've managed to create your own unique take on Doctor Who with a fraction of the budget afforded to the BBC, with its own awesome characters and even with the constraints of it being a 'fan film' still managed to tell a story that was epic in scale with your 'Fall of the Doctor' movie! Love your work, and excited to see where this all goes next!

I'm just a casual viewer. You guys have come a long way over the years. As a long term Doctor Who fan (I'm 65) it's great to see creative enthusiastic fans put out such a high standard of work . I have no idea of your backgrounds but you could be the Doctor Who show runners of the future.
This episode was absolutely phenomenal and shall I say…. Radical. The superb acting to the visual effects were spectacular! Megan Shirley as Megan Williams was sensational and her acting was amazing and her inner turmoil of wether she wants to stay with The Doctor or not was truly great to see. Ben Walden as Tommy Benton was brilliant and I loved the balance of comedy and seriousness that Ben bought to the character. Last but not least, the phenomenal Dominic G. Martin as The Purple was astonishing!! His acting was so brilliant and it has made me love this incarnation a lot already. The rest of the cast were also amazing and Jack Reeves guest starring as Ashley Jones was fantastic! 👏👏👏
everything i hoped for and more, I've been looking forward for this for a while I was a little confused about the reasons for the remake of how time flies. but after watching this i totally see why you did this and i have got to say it was well worth it. the VFX where well done and used in such a perfect way, the transition of old to new interior was well....Radical! the emotions and interaction between actors felt authentic and hit in the right places. my personal favourite scene was when the doctor had the extended thought scene thinking of a way to counter the time flies, Dominic's performance was amazing he fits the role of the doctor so well. Keep up the amazing work and keep it...Radical!!!!! :)

Bruh, that Tommy geeza just there to enjoy the show. Man eating biccies while under attack. The real hero of this story is the biscuit tin, when the Tommy biscuit episode coming? XD Also, doctor who dvd box sets in the background of the bedroom scene at the end… Does that mean that doctor who is technically a TV show in this version of the doctor who universe?… hmmm.
BRILLIANT! So much better than the Chibnall era. Excellent characterisation and pacing. Dominic G. Martin is so engaging as the Doctor and the cast is lovely! Ending a hoot; great if he is stuck on Earth again.

This was fantastic, absolutely fantastic! We now begin the Purple Doctor's journey and from just watching this episode, I can tell it's going to be a great ride. The writing and camera work was brilliant, it really gets you hooked, you did a really great job Luke. Doms, Megs and Ben's acting was phenomenal, they are all very talented. As an actor, Ann someone who makes films currently at collage this is what I call a fan film, their was beautiful plot points, beautiful editing, beautiful characterisation, and for a first episode with maybe a few reshoots I can tell u that this was at least a 7/10 which is very high. Constructive feedback is always appreciated, from the acting point of things as we all interpret things differently I can’t give advice on that, but I can tell u that maybe shorter episodes are more effective in my opinion, their were some shots in this film that were not needed, but that’s just a personal preference

The highest praise for the first episode of the latest season...love Dominic and looking forward to further adventures with Megan along for the ride. Very well developed story...it is about time some evil 😈 nemesis tried to steal the Doctor's leftover regeneration energy! The writing is getting ever sharper and the visual effects were top notch! Just want to give a big congratulations on this project, absolutely fantastic job! Well done! Only feedback I would give for future episodes is give yourself abit more room to express your emotions, like at the beginning when the tardis was blowing up it soundly more like a general conversation rather than panic but this is your first epsiode and alot of work was put in so over all fantastic! I really look forward to the next one 😁 if we will be expecting one. Good job everyone!
This was a fine enough start to the series! Dominic Martin is just effortlessly The Doctor, I think the re-shoots might have helped with that as well, the VFX (for a fan film) are incredible, and the change of pace (with The Doctor and Meg now stranded on Earth) is a fresh idea and helps distinguish the Purple Doctor’s era in an easy fashion. However, to offer some constructive criticism, I think the script could do with a little bit of polishing: A lot of dialogue feels repetitive (the “18 people” dying and the lack of sight from the Karma for example) and relies a bit too much on tell-don’t-show, and and, while Meg being used as a host for the Time Flies is a great visual, it kind of lost weight for me when the Time Flies could just speak without the need or a host. Overall, though, it was a decent starting point for the series and I’m curious to see how things progress.

The Purple Doctor spends almost the entire episode wearing the previous Doctor’s clothes, similar to how Matt Smith and Jodie Whittaker had.

As an actor, Ann someone who makes films currently at collage this is what I call a fan film, their was beautiful plot points, beautiful editing, beautiful characterisation, and for a first episode with maybe a few reshoots I can tell u that this was at least a 7/10 which is very high.
Constructive feedback is always appreciated, from the acting point of things as we all interpret things differently I can’t give advice on that, but I can tell u that maybe shorter episodes are more effective in my opinion, their were some shots in this film that were not needed, but that’s just a personal preference

The highest praise for the first episode of the latest season...love Dominic and looking forward to further adventures with Megan along for the ride. Very well developed story...it is about time some evil 😈 nemesis tried to steal the Doctor's leftover regeneration energy! The writing is getting ever sharper and the visual effects were top notch! Going right to watch episode 2 now!

I would describe this incarnation as a mix of 3rd ( with the jacket wore like a cape) and 10th ( glasses and pretty excited).

Only feedback I would give for future episodes is give yourself abit more room to express your emotions, like at the beginning when the tardis was blowing up it soundly more like a general conversation rather than panic but this is your first epsiode and alot of work was put in so over all fantastic! I really look forward to the next one 😁 if we will be expecting one. Good job everyone!
This was a fine enough start to the series! Dominic Martin is just effortlessly The Doctor, I think the re-shoots might have helped with that as well, the VFX (for a fan film) are incredible, and the change of pace (with The Doctor and Meg now stranded on Earth) is a fresh idea and helps distinguish the Purple Doctor’s era in an easy fashion.
However, to offer some constructive criticism, I think the script could do with a little bit of polishing: A lot of dialogue feels repetitive (the “18 people” dying and the lack of sight from the Karma for example) and relies a bit too much on tell-don’t-show, and and, while Meg being used as a host for the Time Flies is a great visual, it kind of lost weight for me when the Time Flies could just speak without the need or a host.
Overall, though, it was a decent starting point for the series and I’m curious to see how things progress.

This is brilliant!! The fact I’ve enjoyed this episode more than Jodie’s entire run time just shows the right casting and direction can take a show like Doctor Who far. Well done DW2012 for bringing my love of the show back!
