      It’s nice to you naming Elly in the company of such legend like Ricky Henderson. I love ❤️ Ricky he was so much fun to watch. I do believe Elly reminds me of Ricky Henderson in some ways. The Kid is electric and lightning ⚡️ fast. I think we can all agree on that fact.

    • @tylerj44
      @tylerj44 24 дня назад +2

      If Elly could limit his strikeouts & get on base more often via walks & simple base hits I believe he will break Hendersons record as he has the speed to do it at this point in his young career & likely will have that kind of speed for the nxt 3 seasons after this current one concludes... However 5 seasons after this one I dont believe Elly will have the same kinda blazing fast speed that hes got right now. So in my opinion if hes gonna break the record he will have to do it in the next 3 seasons if he doesn't get it done this season but who knows some players have breakout seasons after the All Star game so we'll see.
      He's still the most electric player Ive seen run the bases since Henderson did it decades ago.
      The only bad thing I see is that he has a slight tell that hes gonna go when his hands go up as if hes Randy Moss telling the QB that hes open. If the average baseball fan can pick up on that then Im sure the catchers & other players on the field have already picked up on it as well.

    Nothing against Elly but we really need % rate for steals in baseball because you're hurting your team if your success rate in steals is like 60% or lower. Like in the NBA if you take 50 shots to score 50 points that's not that impressive. Like 20 steals compared to how many failed attempts? I'm sure Elly's steal % is impressive but y'all need to make that stat available.

    I know that baseball is trying to appeal to a younger crowd. But the absolute nonsense of football and basketball players is now here. For generations baseball was governed by unwritten rules, much like football. But an absolute fantastic play isn’t complete without a dance, flexing your muscles or a Braveheart battle cry. It used to be flipping your bat, or even stopping to look at your handiwork would be the fastest way to get a fastball in your ribs, next at bat. Now a .250 needs to flip the bat, scream like a battle cry, and prance around the bases, ending with a choreographed dance in the dugout. I hope they’re successful. But I won’t be there. MLB has gone “look at me” bush league
