Euro Nymphing for Brown trout on the Derbyshire Derwent

  • I spent an hour euro nymphing for brown trout while waiting for the evening Mayfly on the Derbyshire Derwent. This was a great move because I caught some beautiful brown trout, one of which was close to my personal best from the Derwent. The fly set-up used was: point #12 olive tungsten jig back nymph, and dropper #14 quill nymph with a 2.5 mm silver tungsten bead.

    First fish was a belter. Well done 👏 what size beads you using there 3mm and 3.5mm

      The point fly bead was 3.5 mm and the dropper 0.3mm
