Kudos to you for making this video - serves as a wonderful extension to the original chat we had with some more additional context. It's gotten out of hand with scalping over the past year with many actual collectors in my proximity pretty much giving up on mainlines. Hope Mattel works on supply issues and the wider community as a whole discourages scalping.
Buyers have a huge part in promoting scalpers for sure. Complaining will do us no good unless we take a firm stand. To gain something, we will have to lose something. But again, at the end of the day people will pay 1.2x to even 3x the mrp for the cars they want.

Brother, please try to understand that those are not scalpers who are importing, they are importers and that is a different kind of category altogether. Scalpers are simply the people who are picking up the cars from the local stores at MRP and then quickly flipping them at higher rates. Hope this clarifies

No doubt Toy Collectors India Scalps but only if you are purchasing any indian Card, for Imported Cards Like Slide Street 2 Series Mustang rtr they offered the most affordable price as my personal experience
As far as I know, they aren't scalpers. Sure TCI sells at higher prices but they bring their own box. I am pretty sure I have seen C4D sell mainlines at mrp, even last month.

Never thought something like my hobby would make me feel so depressed, cars which were easily available from shops are now nowhere to be found. Imagine how collectors are now going on hunts just to find basic mainline cars. Before it was the rare ones and most sought-after treasure hunts. Its reached that point where genuine collectors return home with nothing. Its sad At this point its all about patience now, just wait... Wait till the scalpers have no option to sell whatever they have. Its upto real collectors to know that our hobby doesn't have to be expensive, we are making it expensive. Sell import or rare ones for whatever price, but the normal castings, just think if it is really worth spending over. This video is much needed for the community and I hope this reaches everywhere so that someone or something happens to bring about a change for this. And yes like bhai has said at the end if someone does feel guilty after watching this video, yes they need to think about how they are destroying this hobby.

Thank you for sharing but if you think about it if you do any other hard work 60 K is a very nominal amount to be made from a hobby from four months five months which is like barely 12 to 15,000 per month. Totally personal opinion if someone has got that much time and energy to spend for that amount of money. I am sure one can make a lot more money doing other better things.

Bro I have seen two of the 90s street scene cars. One is the Nissan 180SX (799-810rs) and a Honda Civic (840rs) on Amazon. Should I buy it or not? Or should I buy a pop culture hotwheels premium at mrp on Amazon as well. And Also I got quite lucky when i bought a Audi RS6 Avant (Forza Edition) at 446rs which later (the next day) got to around 775rs

And then eventually they just block the person who has paid for the cars. This threat is increasing. Now it's even hard to identify who are genuine sellers and who are scammers
I have clearly mentioned that scalpers are selling at twice thrice the prices. Please do not hesitate to pay a genuine collector, 10 ₹20 more because you have to understand that he himself is buying at MRP and he is spending his petrol and other expenses to go and get the car so if he is charging you 10 ₹20 extra that is not a big deal deal that is a part of the expense which has been done to purchase the car.
@ Yes, definitely agree with you. Me with my friends thinking of tackling the issue with scalpers selling more than 250-300 for mainlines, by selling 10 ₹20 more. By this we can get our money back. And collector will get their cars. If more like us come up. Then we can tackle those pages and groups selling twice the price.
Hi, I live in Prayagraj, Uttar Pradesh. I visited a toy store (ToyPort) this evening which has a section for hotwheels. I always buy my hotwheels from there. I don't know why but the new stock that has arrived there, it all has the description in the back in Japanese or some language and not in English and the concerning part is the MRP. They all are tagged with the MRP of Rs.399. I asked them the reason but they couldn't tell anything. They just said "Humare yahan naya stock aise hi aaya hai". All the cars are priced at that only. A normal tooned Mazda is also being priced at Rs.399. I can't understand the reason behind it. Does anyone has also faced this issue in their local market?
