I’m honestly perturbed that the Galaxy class never received quantums. One would assume that since they were available during the dominion war, and it was one of the strongest ships of the time that they would have done that retrofit.

They should never have destroyed the Enterprise D in Generations. They should have just refit the galaxy class. The flagship was only seven years old when it was destroyed but they’re still using Excelsior and Miranda class ships from the last century.

@@michaelmunsey5660 agree, but that couldn't be helped, since there's already enterprise E waiting on the list. I believe only one 'Enterprise' "official"-ly allowed at one time.
Even though she's not destroyed, they may still decommisioned her for the sake of the E.
Inspite of that, the end of the D's service duty, didn't represent the class fate. The Galaxy class still serves as starfleet battle group omega primary's
"Big Gun" on 2379, during Battle of Bassen Rift, ST Nemesis, in a failed attempt to rendezvous w/ the E to fight the Scimitar.
Nevertheless, her end (the D) is for greater good because thanks to that, the D received the honor to make sure that history never forgets the name "Enterprise".

The borg cube is 4km a side and has firepower greater then half the federation starfleet. Its exhaust port is Ray shielded so you'll have to use Quantum Torpedoes which won't arrive until tuesday. It was nice knowing you all.
Love how it looks like a Discotech every time you go up against the borg or DS9.
Seriously tho THIS is exactly how Season 3 of picard should have gone down. The Enterprise E ( a far mor capable warship) EVEN WITH PICARD KNOWING THE WEAK SPOT had an entire fleet behind him of the Latest and most advanced anti-borg and dominion war refit ships. Picard S3 had...ONE SINGLE Enterprise D returned to original factory specifications (so none of the Anti Borg/Dominion war upgrades) and no backup AND the cube was more like a death star size-wise. It's a ludicrously one-sided battle.

This an anachronism. By the time all the original Galaxy frames were built, it was the Dominion War. Most should have been refitted to the DW standard. I think then you would win. With 50% of them in the DW refit. Quantum Torpedoes make all the difference.

"According to Star trek Lore, there were 7 Galaxy class starships constructed"

From the Deep Space Nine season 6 episode "Sacrifice of Angels" we get a pretty good indication of the massive expansion of Galaxy class shipbuilding from this excerpt from the transcript:
"SISKO: It is also an opportunity and we may not get another one. Ensign, have Galaxy wings nine one and nine three engage those destroyers. All other ships, head for that opening. Anyone who gets through doesn't stop until they reach Deep Space Nine.
(In they go, Galaxy-class firepower helping make the gap wide enough for the Defiant and her companions.)"

I mean, there were way more of these built during the Dominion war. I think we see a few dozen in total between TNG, various DS9 episodes, and the fleet shot in the final episode of Voyager. So saying that this is every Galaxy that was ever constructed it a bit off base. You're thinking off how many were constructed initially. It's never said anywhere that they never made more.

It would be interesting to see if the 13 Galaxies were combined with other starships from Next Gen. Particularly an Excelsior and Miranda for every Galaxy, and a few Nebulas and Ambassadors if the system could handle it? The oft seen, and oft doomed Oberths would likely be just wastes of potential ship slots!
Additionally, throwing other ships seen in Next Gen might also be interesting, particularly the Klingons, or Romulan and Cardassian ships if necessary. Clearly, though, Next Gen era tech isn't great against the Borg.
Going beyond the Next Gen era, there is also the possibility of using the Galaxy War refit versions. Although, you might have to subtract the fallen Odyssey, Yamato, and the Enterprise D herself. You could add a couple Sovereigns to represent the Sovereign and the Enterprise E, and--and maybe an Odyssey to represent the fallen Odyssey destroyed by the Jem Hadar?

I still have my copy of Star Trek bridge Commander interesting to see how this event Loop unfold but next time if you play this battle you should just let the others Slug It Out with Cube and wear it down to see if they can actually destroy it and come in assisting it not taking heavy fire but I think it's plausible 13 Galaxy class battleships against the Borg Cube it should be manageable
Still as the player in the lead ship you should have held back incremental a major damage let your wingman and your fellowships take the brunt and then come back in when your Shields are restored

Not all as powerful as the Enterprise D but combined they had more firepower than your fleet. Now if that was a fleet of Dominion war Galaxies with all the bells & whistles what would the outcome be especially if Worf commanded one. because you know today is a good day to die

The lore behind Trek doesn't make much sense.
The UFP is comprised of over 150 member planets in the late 24th century and spans 8,000 Ly's.
That's a massive amount of space.
In effect the Federation should ideally have at least 1500 Galaxy class ships throughout the whole Federation (minimum).
If we assume at least several hundred drydocks per solar system (of which there would be at least 150), the UFP would have anywhere between 15,000 to 45,000 drydocks in the whole UFP.
Utopia Planitia is massive... and Earth alone has its own drydock facilities capable of building ships.
Allocate just 10 drydocks per SOL to a designated class of ships, and UFP would have at least 1500 of them built throughout the UFP.
Given the sheer size and scope of the Federation in the 24th century with nearly 1 Trillion individuals, if even just 2% of this population is in Starfleet, the number of personnel would be huge spread across all 150 member planets, hundreds of thousands of large starbases, outposts, millions of ships.
I think the writers of Trek severely under-estimated the size and scope of the needed ships UFP would realistically have.
