This is video 2 of a 3 part series following my week away on my first cycling holiday, on the beautiful island of Mallorca. We are now on day 3 of our trip and have been staying in the lovely town of Port de Pollenca.

In this episode, we take on some of the islands monastery climbs with some big back to back days on the bike... unfortunately we have to deal with some not so perfect weather conditions, but that won't dampen our spirits, or stop us from going on some epic rides all over the island.
One last thing... I'll apologise now, it might be a few weeks until video 3 from the series is released, as I'm off on holiday to Italy!

Love cycling in Mallorca even though I’ve only done so 3 times, but plan many more returns. Last time I was there was 5 years ago, but climbed Sang Salvador- it was about 35 degrees and the views from the top were amazing. Great videos - camera work and editing 👍

Am hoping to stay at the same Porto Pollenca hotel as you did next year. 1. Did you manage to keep your bike in your room? 2. Do you know if they charge for bike storage per day in their garage? Thanks
I’ve stayed in this hotel 4 times and can highly recommend it. There are signs asking people not to take bikes into their rooms but people do. There is no charge for storing your bike in the garage and there is plenty of room. The garage door is not closed at night and there is CCTV. There are chains for the bikes and you can hire a padlock the cost of which is refundable. Enjoy!
Sorry for the delayed reply… I mean it was an alright hotel, food was pretty decent… but the bike situation was a deal breaker for me! Although there was facilities to store your bike down in a basement, it wasn’t attended by anyone so there’s nothing stopping someone just strolling down with a set of bolt croppers! There’s no chance I was taking that risk. I did manage to keep my bike in the room in the end, but only by being sneaky… so for that reason I wouldn’t go back!

As someone who has been around these routes in 40 degrees burning sun I think it still might be better than wind and rain to spoil the descents. Mallorca is ace!

how about the traffic? are drivers annoying or even dangeours?
Very good… not a lot of traffic and they are very used to cyclist there so you never get any abuse!
