It's devastating for him to go. He has his ups and downs, but he was the best dude of a role he's done. Reat peacefully Pee-Wee.
❤🕊️
A sobering reminder of how old I am .....I was 8 when pwp premiered. Don't know why I thought Paul was in his twenties then....he was 33
Just know that I'm pulling for Pee-Wee
It was because of cancer and he lived it in secret.
R.I.P. Paul Reubens 🙏
News of him being gone devastated me. Put me in an on and off again deep depression. I feel like I lost a member of my family. I'll never forget him. He's one in a trillion for talented funny people. I'll never forget. Thank you, Pee Wee.
I remember when adult swim aired this show at midnight in 2006. Really loved Big Adventure as well. May you rest in peace, Pee Wee 🕊️
Goodbye Paul Reubens. We miss you so much 👼
I have no idea how children didn't get scared shitless, and I am scared.
Just heard now he passed away at only 70. He was one-in-a-million. "Pee Wee's Big Adventure" is a classic at this point. He attained some immortality with that one. My daughters also enjoyed the "Playhouse." Inspired lunacy - even for adults. Now he can finally be a 7-year-old forever.
R.I.P. Paul Reubens
I hate that he died. I loved pee Wee! But ONLY 70?! 70 is pretty good dude. The average American life span is 73!

you're one of THOSE guys... 😮😮😮
This is how you honor a genius! Rest Pee Wee!! Thanks for the memories, from my now grown up kids and myself!! 🕯️
We miss you Paul Reubens 👼
Thank you, PAUL REUBENS for doing your part to help tame mankind with your gift, talent and all the laughs.

I have no idea how children didn't get scared shitless, and I am scared.
The playhouse now feels empty without him.
Thanks for all the laughs, Paul. ❤
I have no idea how children didn't get scared shitless, and I am scared.
I love pee wee :) wish Paul the voice actor and play of pee wee didn't die off so early :(
@@Jervis-JehanYvesLaurent EARLY??? HE WAS SEVENTY
I just found this 2 hours ago and I've watched it 17 times now, this is like visual crack that doesn't have side affects.

P.S. it would be "side effects" 😊
Cyndi Pauper’s best song
Cyndi should have won an Emmy for that theme. If she didn't lol I dunno
It was good for us as teens too
Used to always watch this as a kid. Paul may have had his real life issues but he poured his heart and soul to portray Pee Wee as best he can to entertain us all. There can only be one Pee Wee. Thanks Paul!
He had to have had the weirdest stuff on television, and bless him for it. A brilliant creator. RIP Paul.
I was in my 20s when Pee-wee's Playhouse was on and I always made a point to watch it every Saturday morning. May Paul Reubens rest in peace, he will be so very missed. 🌹
I expect the comments section to be flooded with memorials for Paul Reubens now. Rightfully so: Pee-Wee really was something else, and we'll never have anyone like him ever again.
Rest in peace, Pee-Wee.
During the pandemic, I introduced my two older girls to Pee Wee’s big adventure and the Pee Wee’s Playhouse. Fond memories ❤️
What pandemic?

Pee Wee Herman
1952-2023
We’ll miss you, pal.
I've just introduced my grand kids to PeeWee and we are all loving it.
I love it it's so much fun making flash back past life look back at movie made TV show documentary about biography history channel interview review and DVD for years before 35th anniversary celebration party years New year would definitely be there in TV show
Wow they're going to grow up dumb as rocks, what a great grand parent
RIP Paul Reubens, you got to do the show you wanted to do. Respect.
I'm so happy my parents had me watch this a kid. No one believes it actually exists when I describe this show.
bruh
RIP Paul Reubens, AKA Pee-wee Herman. You made my early childhood fun and educational, and I'll never forget the lessons you taught all of us.
1952-2023.
I had to come find this! My mom told me 'I remember when you used to watch that silly show'..lol. RIP 🕊
What a wacky, surreal, groundbreaking and memorable piece of art he left us with. You were a loaner and rebel! Thanks Paul!
God bless his soul.
It was so enjoyable, entertaining, and fun watching this show every Saturday after the cartoons growing up as a little kid in the 1980s and 1990s!
Pee Wee Herman's Big Adventure is one of my most favorite kid movies from the 1980s!
Who could ever forget the
"Large Marge" truck scene!
The Motorcycle Club/Bar scene where and when he did the Pee Wee Herman Dance on top of the Bar!
Thank you so much for the memories and nostalgic awesomeness of growing up as a little kid in the 1980s and 1990s!
RIP to a legend for many 80’s kids. A lot of younger people probably don’t know much about him but he was huge in the 80’s. Peewee is as iconic as the NES, ET, Transformers, G.I. Joe and He Man are to those of us who grew up in the 80’s.
Ah. 80's childhood. How many knew that Cyndi Lauper was the one singing that theme song?
"Get out of bed. There will be no more napping......"
I did. I heard that she did it under a pseudonym. Maybe she did not want to use her real name at the time because most musical artist were not doing cartoon themes and regular music at the time?
@@lanaemoore7015 I think she went by Ellen Shaw. No idea why.
I loved it as a kid and bith my kids (26 and 16) love it too. We are going to marathon all the PeeWee shows/movies in tribute. RIP PeeWee. You made our lives so much better having existed.
Pee-Wee Herman was legendary amongst 80s kids and being influential for many characters and actors to come. Rest Easy Paul
I wished that he and Mr. Rogers would have had a crossover show. That would have been awesome.
We miss you Paul Reubens 👼🕊

Used to make you feel so sad at the end when Pee Wee got on his bike to leave.. It was like saying goodbye for another week lol.

Aka Pee Wee Herman
This one hits hard, guys. As a child of the 80s, this made gave us laughter and joy. Mr. Reubens lost his battle with cancer.
Thank you for the laughs.

I'm gonna watch this once a day for the next 70 days in honor of Pee-Wee. So long Pee-Wee, you'll be sorely missed my friend. "I know you are but what am I?"
RIP Paul! 80s kids love you!!
You’re definitely right 80’s kids ❤
I was really little when Pee Wee came on Saturday mornings on CBS. Like kindergarten and preschool age. But still remember it. It was a bizarre show but I kinda liked it.
💯🔥👍this intro is the as wild as I remember it. Shine on you wild 80’s icon!
This show was my jam as a kid. Best kids' show ever made.
R.I.P. Pee Wee. This 80's/90's kid thanks you for Saturday mornings.
Rest in Peace Mr. Reuben’s. ❤🙏🏽
This show was television mastery to 8-year-old me. RIP Pee-Wee, thanks for the laughs!
One of my favorite shows growing up in the eighties....RIP Paul Ruben aka PW aka Mr Herman!😁🙏🙏🙏🙏
R.I.P. John Paragon (1954-2021) played Jambi the Genie
I haven't seen this opening since that fateful Saturday morning where I woke up and this was cancelled. I just cried like I did that morning ...watching this is very soothing to my soul right now. God Bless whoever uploaded this in such good quality.
You need to get the DVDs of the show. It was quite innovative and fun.
For me, it was the Smurfs, Super friends, Garfield, Pee Wee's playhouse and Soul Train in mid-late 80s. RIP Mr. Reubens aka Mr. Herman............
1of my favorite shows when I was a kid🫶🏾RIP.🕊💙Paul Reubens😢💔❤️🩹
Thanks pee wee for my childhood silliest day as a kid, RIP Pee Wee Herman
The great thing about this show is that it is a show that can simultaneously appeal to a child,as well as a person in a drug induced state. But the thing that separates this show from other kids shows or just some trippy old cartoon that stoners watch is the humor, the interaction, the education, the culture but most of all everything from the characters to the set design sparked kids creativity and imagination in a way that no kids show today can even compare to. Paul Reuben is an artist.
Rest in peace Paul Reubens. This show was one of my favourites growing up, and he’s a comedy icon
Oh man, such memories, won't be an opening sequence like this ever again. What a wonderful thing he gave the world. He was one in a million!
My day literally got better after watching this. Such a great show, gonna get the Big Adventure movie and watch it with my family when I'm off
I grew up with this show. Rest in peace Paul Reubens aka Pee Wee Herman
I'm still a child but my brother introduced Pee-wee's big holiday and Pee-wee's playhouse to me when I was young I can't believe hes past he practically made my childhood 🕊️❤️🕊️
RIP MY FRIEND ..IM ONLY 46 BUT YOU WERE SUCH A BIG PART OF MY LIFE YOULL BE MISSED
Pee Wee always made my saturday mournings
RayRaySoShy What a coincidence, cause PeeWee only came about because Paul Reubens was denied a spot on SNL over Gilbert Gottfried.
I remember everyday while getting ready for elementary school I would eat my morning cereal while watching Pee Wee's Playhouse
It was so different from other children's shows, it was off the wall, wacky, and colorful.
And it was tied together by Paul's dynamic energy and charisma.
It hurts to know that a part of my childhood has passed, but he will always be remembered as a legend.
Rest in Peace Pee Wee 😢
Thank you for everything, Pee-Wee. I will never forget Big Top or the Adventure. Godspeed, Paul Reuben
My kids watched PeeWees playhouse
I think I loved it more than they did. Wonderful memories. Rip Paul.
R.I.P. Pee Wee, loved him and his shows on Saturday mornings back in the day, legends never die, always.
The wildest TV show intro of the 1980s. This show really appealed to us as young Children.
Rest Easy, Pee Wee 🙏🏾
Good bye Paul Reuben’s you will be remembered as one of the best childhood legends.😞
I think it's high time pee wees playhouse made a come back ❤❤❤
Holy hell this aged so badly.
Unfortunately, that will never be because of Paul's passing.
My daughter enjoyed this show. She is now 30 yrs. I have to admit, I liked it too!!!!!!!
R.I.P. Peewee Herman 😢
Another case of when the character takes over the actor, Paul Reubens striked a big success thanks to Pee-wee Herman, but then struggled to have a career beyond Pee-wee Herman.
R.I.P. Paul Reubens.
May he continue to have adventures in the playhouse in the sky
Even though I was born 14 years too late to have experienced the magic of this show when it first came out, the nostalgia that my dad had for it made it possible for me to grow up with Pee Wee as a staple of my childhood. Hope you rest easy, Paul Reubens.
Celluloid insanity. What a great time to be a kid!
RIP PeeWee the GOAT of 80s TV kids show
Loved this show as a kid.
RIP Pee Wee
Thank you for all the Saturday morning fun, Paul! ❤
When I was little me and my brother always laughed at this. Especially the hair that pops up 😂
My childhood right here. EVERY Saturday morning back in the late 80s. My sister even had the lunchbox.
I watched his shows with my kids. I don't know who enjoyed it more them or me. Rest in peace Pee Wee.

RIP Paul. Pee Wee was a big part of many Gen X and Gen Y's childhoods.
Rip Pee Wee Herman, thank you for the wonderful childhood memories
It's crazy that he's dead now. He always looked really young for his age. Even at 70.
He was a legend!
Why, yes, that _is_ Cyndi Lauper doing a pretty dead on imitation of Betty Boop singing the song.
She actually does sound like her.
@@grew5444 That's because it is her.
I never knew that!
LOL before I even read the comments, I was about to type "did they shove a brick of coke up Cyndi Lauper's nose and get her to sing that?"
Cool! 8:33 pm, i learned something today
I used to watch this as a kid and never thought twice about it. Now I'm like, WTF??! Funny how that works

RIP to the comedic and entertainer Paul Reubens (August 27,1952-July 30,2022) after a private battle with cancer 😢😢💔💔
Holy crap. Can't believe I grew up on this lol
“Coo-coo at peewee’s playhouse” 🤪🥳
Thank god he's back next year on netflix! I love Pee Wee Herman!
This show used to scare the living shit out of me as a child. I think from watching this opening sequence you can see how that's possible.
Edit On 8/7/2023 After Original Comment Several Years Ago Here:
Rest In Peace Paul Reubens. Looking back this show was scary to me as a child but maybe I can just process it better as an adult. I do appreciate (at least appreciate much better now) all the work that went into this crazy landscape that was the show and thanks to Paul and everyone who worked on it (as well as the films Big Adventure then Big Top) to bring us unforgettable entertainment.
I loved this show as a kid and now my kids love it.

Thank you Pee Wee for making my childhood awesome.
Hard to believe it's Cyndi Lauper singing this while immitating Betty Boop.
RIP Pee Wee. A man with a remarkable acting for kids to see.
Classic! Even at 43, I still giggle and enjoy these.
I kept expecting it to suddenly go south like a Don't Hug Me I'm Scared short xD
😂 man i still loved this
Rip mr paul for making pee wee to come alive as an franchise :') rip
“Pee Wee got his wish to fly” that hit hard like a truck. RIP Paul
My childhood during the 1980s. I really miss those days.
