Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy has said that Ukrainian forces shot down a Russian Su-25 fighter-bomber over the Donetsk region in eastern Ukraine. Zelenskiy made the remarks in his nightly video address on Saturday. "A special commendation goes to the warriors of the 110th separate mechanised brigade for today taking down another Russian Su-25 in the Donetsk region,” Zelenskiy said. “It is important to be very focused these days,” the Ukrainian leader added. Su-25 is an attack aircraft that costs around 11-15 million USD and has been used during Russia’s full-fledged invasion of Ukraine. Zelenskiy provided no further details of the downing of Russian fighter bomber. Furthermore, the Ukrainian leader slammed his Russian counterpart Vladimir Putin. “Putin doesn’t want peace, he’s crazy, and every day his state does something to prove it. To overcome this evil, to overcome the war, we need the maximum level of global unity. Together we achieve results,” Zelensky stressed. The Ukrainian leader emphasized that “Russia can only be forced to leave Ukraine alone.”

If a SU-25 was shot down, why was a video shown of a damaged SU-25
parked on the tarmac of an airbase? Usually shot down does not result
in an aircraft being neatly parked at an airbase. Just sort of wondering.

It was archive footage from a SU 25 damaged earlier in the war. Decide for yourself if you believe the post. check other sites for actual pictures of the aircraft going down.
