Well it depends on your situation, if you’re just after take off and in an area full of obstacles (like sulley) you might want to reach a point from where a safe glide is possible before shutting off the engine. A fire may or may not consume the aircraft in the next 10 minutes, but the obstacles in front are a certain danger if you don’t have sufficient energy so I think that’s what he was trying to say. @@emanueldobos8452 It takes significant explosion for that to happen. these engines are designed to keep everything within. it's not going to explode like in the movies. you rather fly with engine on fire going 200 knots (lot of air on the fire) vs shutting it down if you already lost one engine.

Does the ecam directs the pilots to the QRH? Or do they know which ecam action follows with a qrh add on?

It is not on the dues of pilots to announce which side to evacuate, those are cabin crew duties.
