⚠️‼️ IMPORTANT⚠️‼️ Please don’t put the protective coat in a plastic container like I did! It melted the container within a week and spilled everywhere. Use maybe stainless steel or possibly glass. Also, I’ve spoken to Everbright directly and the ProtectaClear CAN be applied to earring post, it’s non toxic and dermatologicaly tested!!🎉
I’d love to hear what you have been doing to stop your jewellery from tarnishing, what methods, products, tips and tricks? What do you do when you sell bare metal jewellery? Let’s have a conversation in the comments filled with useful information, so we can all learn from each other ❤ In addition to my video, here are a few more things I forgot to mention: If you apply protective coat to your jewellery, it will need re-applying eventually, as the coat will rub off over time. Also, there are so many products(varnishes) to prevent tarnishing, but not everything is suitable for jewellery (more for craft purposes) and so those might not be skin friendly. I also have a Renaissance Wax at home, which I purchased to coat my jewellery. I didn’t use it yet, but I have heard this product works ok. Perhaps I will review it in my future video. Also, there are wires that do not tarnish at all, like stainless steel and then of course, more expensive wires like pure silver, gold, platinum etc.. so you could also use annealed stainless steel wire for your jewellery making (but it can’t be soldered). Ok, next time, I will write everything down before making a video, but I hope you still found it helpful.. ❤ ❤ ❤

Renaissance Wax is fantastic, smells strong but that goes eventually, use it sparingly, it's better to use multiple thin coats.

Thank you so much for the helpful information. Thanks for sharing. ❤😊 You can also lay your jewelry on in a closed bag or jewelry box. I am glad that I know there is something different than clear nail polish. 🤗 I just like to use non tarnish wire. But, I am happy, to know there are more options. 🙃🙃😁😁 I love all of your jewelry. Very easy to make and so different. ❤🥰🥰

I appreciate your video so much. I use bare brass jewelry charms in my jewelry and constantly having to clean it. I am going to coat it with the stuff you recommend. And get the clothes. Thank you

Would uv resin work to coat the inside? That way the light would cure the resin quickly. Not tried it yet but should work similar to the protecta clear. Anyone tried this? Thanks for an informative video ❤️❤️👏👏🇬🇧

    • @HelenaDaydreamer

I’m sure It will work too, although i haven’t tried it. Uv resin is a lot thicker that the protecta clear, so the coating will be thicker.
