whenever Naz is mentioned I immediately miss him
Me too. But after the Galahad fight I think I've seen too much of the 2faced got.
That's git
em cee I agree, you can tell he didn’t want the camera to hear him stabbing Galahad in the back
If your dad had put over 13 years of blood sweat and tears into building Naz from a troublesome 7 year old , into a top boxer , and when he made is first few million didn’t want to pay Brendan the contractual amount of wages he was owed , became a bully in the gym , bossing other kids around , thinking he owned the gym , and everyone in it , “ this is all well documented in Brendan’s book , even Johnny Nelson confirmed everything Brendan said , and Rian Rhodes too confirmed what Brendan said was true facts , as Brendan’s son how would you feel , if I was Dom I would have taken him out , no questions asked, so you can understand Dom feeling bitter , cos Naz turned Judas on Brendan , not the other way around, let’s put facts into perspective here , and say it how it really was , Naz made is first few million , and thought he was better , and higher up than anyone else, started to act horrible until Brendan told him to move out the gym , he wasn’t wellcome anymore, simple “ do one razza your not wanted here with that horrible personality you have become , because of money , so pack ya kit , and do one , your no longer welcome here anymore, Brendan could of turned a blind eye , and turned into one of Naz’s yes men , and carried on making his money off Naz , as wages for coaching him, but he never , he put a stop to it , and got Naz out sharpish , then Naz tried to shout his mouth off , calling , Brendan Judas etc , but in reality Naz was 100 0/0 percent the Judas in all this , just listen to Brendan , Johnny Nelson , and Rian Rhodes , to name but a few , so yeah Dom as every right to tell THE TRUTH, and put everyone in the picture, it was his Father after all , so have a second thought, cos you are wrong mate , FACT .
Well said I agree
Yes, Ego does that to a man , sad
Wow, what an insight. Not too many people know this.
@@coolskool1.061 it's more Hubris than Ego but equally destructive in a Man. 👊🏿
He felt so bitter lol but yet trained and was involved in naz camp despite the conflict with his old man.
Naz is living his own life with nothing to prove. He can get as fat as he wants, he earned it.
hardly. As soon as he stepped up to the ELITE he got COMPLETELY OUTCLASSED in an extremely one sided fight, which proved he could not compete with the very best, so he retired early because he knew he would have had multiple losses had he continued.
@@lomachenkop4pno133 what's the relevance? ...Like, what's your unqualified opinion got to do with my comment about a man that made plenty of money and is now happy to get fat? What planet are you on??
@@lomachenkop4pno133 Not really he lost to one elite fighter but also beat elite fighters in kevin kelley, augie sanchez, manuel medina and more.
@@lomachenkop4pno133 Naz suffered with bad hands and was a very good cocky entertaining fighter in his day.
He's probably eating so badly, and getting fat as a result, to mask some emotional problem now that he is out of the limelight and there isn't a team promoting him and his physical well being.
It's sad but I've seen in a thousand times in this sport.
He's on the same gear that breeders give to pitbulls to make their heads grow
Seems to work well for him. He's most likely in better shape than you
hahahahahahhahahh

@@georgedolman444 With his immigrant mentality.
Prince Naseem is considered one of the GOATS when he barely trained, was barely dedicated and didn't even watch fight footage of his opponents or train as hard as he was supposed to. It was an absurd amount of natural talent with a little bit of work that made Prince Naseem a legend. Even if other fighters worked twice as hard as him they didn't have the natural skill and they weren't a prodigy like he was. The problem is once he got to the pinnacle he was missing his family training even less and then fighting a gritty seasoned veteran boxer who was training his ass off to kill Naseem while Naseem was enjoying the celebrity lifestyle. That's why he lost. As good as he was you could tell he loved what came with boxing more than boxing itself.
I saw an interview with him where he talked about the build-up to the Barrera fight - he said he'd broken his hands multiple times by this point and could barely get through a training camp without breaking them again, he fell out of love with the sport and had one eye on retirement - then he went into that camp out of shape and spent most of it cutting weight... it's not as simple as saying he was 'enjoying the celebrity lifestyle'...
ExplodingBumfluff
Nas was excellent and I used to be a fan, however he always had technical deficiencies which top fighters could expose. The Barerra that beat him in '01 would beat any version of Nas. I know he wasn't at his best, but Nas never beat any elite p4p top fighters, Barerra was the first truly elite guy he fought, after beating lots of good fighters, and he couldn't get away with the mistakes he always made.
Barerra outboxed him with great counter punching and footwork, keeping Nas off balance.
R u crazy? Naz was shit! To brits he was special to us Americans he just a standard boxer nothing special.
@@luisortizszimmerframe6933
Like I already commented, I was a Nas fan, but he's come out with two excuses for that fight, I've seen him change his story in different interviews. In one he blamed it on extreme weight loss, then in another on his broken hands.
The fact is that although Nas was excellent, he was beatable by top p4p guys. He always said he would be a legend and one of the GOATS, but to do that you have to beat elite p4p fighters.
He beat loads of very good fighters, but the first time he faced an elite guy in a 'superfight', he lost.
Morales would have beaten him too, and then Pac came along at featherweight.
I know Nas wasn't at his best against Barerra, but Barerra that night would beat any version of Nas.
This is all false. Naz trained his ass off every fight. Naz also lost to Barrera cuz he trained too hard, didn’t get enough rest and had a hard time making weight. He stayed up trying to lose weight til 5 am the morning of the fight. He talks about all of this in an interview.
Love this guy Dominic Ingle. Straight talker. Honest. Love to meet him down there at 'The Wincobank!
It’s like Dominic has a bigger ego than any of the fighters.
James You see it a lot with some trainers. They actually think it is them that deserves the credit. They work for the fighter and get paid wages to hold the pads, let a fighter use their facilities and get them in shape. A good trainer can’t make a bad man a good man. He either got it or he ain’t.
Nah, just need supreme confidence in your own abilities to mould world champions.
He forgets his dad sold naz out for money with that silly book the paddy and prince
That's what makes him a good trainer

What is he talking about why does naz need to lose weight he’s out here living life
What do you mean why does nez need to lose weight , Naz looks like a three bedroom semi-detached. With an extension.
He's carrying far too much weight and if he's not careful all that strain on his heart will finish him off sooner rather than later.
As the next world champion he should know better he looks disgusting fat who's going to take someone like that serious.
He's got too much money and that's why he's become so fat and lazy.
Remember your health is your wealth.
Junior Lawrence dom just wants to sell some nazal sprays
Probably for health reasons...
Because he looks like he's wearing a sumo suite and he hasn't seen his little willy for the last 15+ years.
Very bitter because he left his dad. Naz is the best fight his family have ever trained he made them
And also was fat and couldnt be bothered
What a load of wank, they made him, they trained him since he was seven. Never heard so much shit

It’s great getting one of the Ingles on Naz. So much that hasn’t been said. They clearly don’t have a lot of time for him. It could make a great book. Either way good interview. 👍🏻
Naz pretty much made the Ingle gym famous. If it wasn't for Naz, then it's very likely that this interview with Dominic would never have happened because the Ingle gym would never have become a force or in high demand without the legacy that Naz left behind. Dominic and Brendan owe Naz everything.
@@Gorguruga Perhaps Naz owes Brendan everything.
@@celticspirit2890 Brendan said he spotted how slick and slippery Naz was in a street fight against several other boys ganging up on him so he introduced Naz to the world of boxing and Naz paid that off several times with trainer and gym fees. Naz had real natural talent even as a kid in street-fighting so he would have been successful in any gym because of his natural ability but the Ingle gym would never have become so popular and famous if it wasn't for Naz.
@@celticspirit2890 There's a fair bit of truth in that statement bud 🤙
This dude trying to put Naz down..Dont even bother ,many kids got into boxing because of Naz even David Haye in the amateur days said he was inspired by Nasseem and i met Haye those days as we fought on same circuits with him and Tony Bellew and trained once alongside Haye...Many fans including females started watching and getting into boxing because of Naz who brought tons of money to the lower weights where it was not prior to that..Naz had bags of natural ability and great in front of cameras and live audiences..Dominic is really acting up here trying to belittle the prince but you can't ,Naz is an icon and Legend of the sport and you can't take that away from him ..
Naz is big and fat. That’s what Dominic said and that’s a fact. All your fanboy shit won’t change that.✌️
mcallax...shut your trap...You know nothing about fighting...If you did you would be on the right side of the discussion..
What you been smoking ...Your nose needs to be removed from NAzzes Arss mate
Well said naz was the most naturally gifted British fighter ever. He just needed to listen to and keep Brendan ingle. The ingle gym now live off his name
Audley Harrison?
Bob Fitzsimmons , Randolph Turpin ,Lennox Lewis, joe Calzaghe, Nigel Benn, they were all good not sure if you can put naz on top of that pile.
Sure there is a lot more I prob missed out.
Naz left the Ingles on a few different reason, how could he still fight under them when the book that was written publicly shamed him after he had made them so much money, he also wanted one on one time as would most world champions and wanted training camps, the problem was he was an ass hole an as he got bigger the Ingles struggled to rain him in which probably was the down fall of his career he retired at 28, with no miles, a millionaire and a young family so overall I would say he didn't do bad for a lad from a Yemeni Family on a council estate in Sheffield!
He did incredible. He inspired so many that followed him too!
Without Brendan and the ingle gym Naz would be the owner of a corner shop, nothing more. His family were an issue, wanting a piece of the pie (which is natural and understandable), but without the ingles he was surrounded by yes men which ultimately ended his career too early. Imo at his best he would have beat Barrera, then Morales and faced JMM and pre ODH Pacman and would have made even more 💴. I was always a massive fan of Naz when most Brits hated him.
Ingle made him who he was. He'd be nothing without that time, love, dedication, energy put into him for years.
Looking good Dom . 51- Looking awesome

Always thought George Groves would do well under Ingle.

naz was phenomenal puncher but when you believe nobody can ever beat you then they do with barrera there mind can never recover thats why naz could never come back he was amazing but never became legend he told us he would be
Well the ingle name will forever be associated with nassem hamed and vice versa. Both legends in their own rights!
It does surprise me when sportsmen like naz put on a lot of timber when they retire from competition.the average bloke looks in the mirror after a few too many pies and thinks "I've got to do something about that belly" so how athlete's who were so vain let themselves go is surprising.

I love naz he was an amazing boxer and had a likeable personality but I do feel like he had an arrogant and money hungry side to him which let him down. He didn’t appreciate Brendan enough and began to forget where he really came from which is sad

old right said fred!!
Hamed is an awesome fighter and a legend. How Dominic could say to his face that he's "the same little snotty nose kid as when he first came to the gym" is weird. It's like the Ingle gym sounds as if they didn't know how to handle star fighters - Kell Brook has left now too.
Awesome??? You talk Shite!! He fought has been and mediocre fighters who were punchbags!! The first real world class fighter in Barrera he fought destroyed him for 12 rounds!! The myth had ended fat boy knew that too!!! ✌✌
@@prideofpendle8323 By the time he fought Barrera, in fact even by the time he made his US debut and fought Kelley, Hamed was a shadow of his former self and hardly even trained for the fight as seen in the documentary "Little Prince, Big Fight" - you can hear him brag about how he's in the lap of luxury training whenever he feels like it while Barrera is up in the mountains grafting away. Even Nas' sparring partners for that camp did much better against him than they should have (again as seen in that documentary).
@@prideofpendle8323 Lol.. You don't need to conflate the terms. He was awesome at his peak, but a shadow of his former self by the time Barrera came around. I'm surprised he lasted all 12 rounds vs such an excellent fighter as Barrera, after doing hardly any proper training in the camp. Even in his US debut against Kelley, the slick footwork he once had was already half-gone. Emanuel Steward left Naz because he refused to train properly, surely you know all this, it's common knowledge.

I think the Ingle family are very big on being loyal, I get them being pissed with Naz. Seems the Ingle family did a lot for the area and Naz probably did a lot for himself.
Geoff Meyer I think you’re not wrong
Truesay
I have lived a stones throw from ingle gym majority of my life, i trained there as a child, Brendan was and always will be considered an adopted "wincobank lad".
He came to wincobank after fleeing problems in ireland, he was so overwhelmed by the way Wincobank community took him in he always felt like he owed them something.
When he setup the st thomas gym, he took every problem kid in area and helped them improve, his own word was "it was like the wild west when i came, kids fighting everywhere" he did so much for the area, his professional boxers was made to give back to community by going out litter picking. Brendan was class.
Naz was a tallent, but Brendan made him, he found naz as a kid at school, fighting in yard, brendan took him in and made him a world champion.
Verbal Roid rage towards Naz lool
Whys he always so bitter about fighters who leave his camp? Its almost like he wants to ruin their image because they have dirt on him 🤔🤔🤔
Good interview, like Dominic, straight talking
As a guy who followed Naz's career including sheeling out big money to watch him about 5 or 6 times I feel that Ingle is spot on.
After Naz left Ingle he was quite disrespectful "Better than the other trainer" he said of his new trainer after a fight...
IMO he could/should have been thee best fighter ever to come from these shores and a peak Naz would have beaten Barrera and Morales etc. He should have been mixing with JMM and Pac and maybe even Floyd. After the Barrera fight Emanuel Steward said Naz didn't want to spar or do anything and it seems like he took his biggest fight as anything but seriously.
I remember that pre fight it was the first time I ever heard Naz saying "If I lose..." and he went on to say "I'll come back hungrier than ever". Unfortunately it seems he meant it literally. He also said he'd avenge the MAB fight in the months/years afterwards but maybe that was to keep his name in the limelight. Many people think that MAB was the last fight/the end but he had a comeback fight vs Calvo. He won that easily but was booed by his own fans and I think his ego could not handle that.
I was a teenager in Sheffield and came across Nas and his siblings often. He earned his money and retired when didnt give a toss. Dont see what all the fuss is about.
Kell Brook missed you in his corner Dom
naz vs mayweather lets make it happen. lets get them both out of retirement and make the fight the best in history
