I might take a crack at this simply to enjoy the early Warcraft style. It's just so different than modern wow.
It still holds up for the most part. It really does have a different feel from more modern RTS games. I just started Warcraft 3 and the level of handholding is pretty insane compared to this game.
Of course it still holds up! Warcraft 2 is a fun game :)
After nearly 25 years since my last playthrough I wasn't sure if it might just be nostalgia but you are right Warcraft 2 is a fun game.
