After one of your backpacking videos last year where you said you got trail runners and it changed everything, I started looking into those as well. Used to use old running shoes with zero traction. Picked up some Columbia Trans Alps a few weeks ago during the REI sale and they are absolutely fantastic. I don't think I'll be moving away from trail runners anytime soon.
Thanks Jon. I just happen to start researching footwear and boom! I see this video. Do you buy online? I'm picky about footwear so I like to try things on.
Call me old school, but I prefer my Merrell boots. I do bring either tennis shoes or my water tennis shoes for creek crossings and to wear around camp. Good info in video and REI ought to sponsor you with all their stuff you buy/recommend.
You are old school haha. But they're your feet do what makes them comfy! I don't have space for extra shoes in the bag. REI should sponsor me. You hear this @REI
Dude great and honest video! Appreciate you making this.
Exactly what I was looking for. Thanks!
Excellent information, thank you!
You're welcome 🙂
Great info - thank you, Jon!
👊 let’s go hiking
I run and hike in the Speed Goats too! They are awesome! 🐐
The guy with "runner" in his handle uses them too. Come on people! Join the revolution your feet will thank you! 😆

Amen Issac! Welcome to the trail runner revolution 😂

I bought the first pair in store but now I buy online since I know my fit.
