What are the circumstances that create a sky like the one in your "Northern Lights Superstorm, Real Time Video" clip? Because that is unlike anything I've ever seen, even in movies. I had no idea they could be so dynamic and localized. That has to be more than just a dark sky environment, right?

Correct, it was a strong storm following a CME; also, it's the corona, which means the main belt of the aurora is overhead, but I have seen both of them without it being fast-moving, so why is it sometimes fast and sometimes not I'm not sure. ,

Call me lazy, but I expected some links in the video description. Also, is there some service with RSS subscription that would just notify users that something is coming?
