      What defines an insider vs TV guys. A handful of NFL teams were interested in Drake Maye. Only team who liked Jayden Daniels were the Commanders. The same pundits who pounded the table for previous QB busts were doing the same for Jayden Daniels. Those were TV people obviously. Rick Eisen is an odd person.

      @carlosallen4616 if thats the case, then the analyst who relies on NFL insiders is Daniel Jeremiah. He was for Drake Maye. Haven been a scout prior he's well connected. The TV people loved Jayden Daniels. Rick Eisen is wrong.

    I think the situation with NE is going to be good for Maye, from the standpoint that there isn't any rush to push him onto the field. I personally think he's going to need to sit and learn, more than the other guys.

      PFF is exactly what they say they are and have themselves pointed out that coaches and teams look at things differently than they do. I don't agree with them either on everything they say or think but they usually make their opinions on past data. So they succeed at that about as well as all others that try to perfectly predict human behavior. Which is sometimes they're right others they're wrong. Nobody is always right or they'd win every SB, because they'd always have the right people.

    You can't measure heart. Tom Brady had one of the worst scouting reports and his combine day didn't look all that great. He looked like an out of shape weak QB. He had a heart and drive bigger than the average guy though. He knew what his strengths were and he had a coach that knew how to design an offense around them. From everything that has been said Drake Maye is a lot like Brady as far as putting in the time to get better. The kid has that "I hate to lose at anything" attitude that Brady had. He showed leadership when he stayed in NC and carried his team. He could have gone to a better college and had a lot better players around him like all the other QB'S did. We got the guy I believe is going to turn out to be the best QB in this draft. I see Williams and Daniels falling short of their hype and I see Drake Maye struggling a little at first but becoming a franchise league leading QB just like Josh Allen.

      He doesn't go through progressions as well as JD. He also lacks the footwork but Maye is 3 years younger. Jayden has the insane running ability.

    The people I've been listening to since before the draft kept saying Maye only because he has a better "build", because they don't think Daniels can protect himself. My personal issue with Maye is the same I had/have with Howell. They both throw a beautiful deep ball but have inconsistent footwork. Very coachable, but they need the right coaches to do so. Even Keim praised Daniels' footwork for a rookie. Daniels may not be as big of a project mechanically, but people don't like his size.

      @@Highspeed30 Lamar is not the prototype of a QB and he's very good at not taking bad hits. Jayden has film where he looks like a crash test dummy. Can Jayden learn not to take such bad hits? Hopefully, but until he does he's going to get hammered. So, if he gets hurt then how long before his major weapon of running is diminished or not worth the risk? Lastly, people say QBs are protected by flags but they don't heal the damage of a hit they just give a small punishment on 1 drive.

    • @Highspeed30
      @Highspeed30 27 дней назад

      @@kingofpkf I'm just speaking about the way the media contradict themselves. Right now they weigh the same thing. As far as the taking hits narrative it is overblown because ALL QBs take hits and get hurt, whether it was Tom Brady tore ACL in pocket, Peyton Manning neck in pocket, Aaron Rodgers Achilles in pocket, Joe Burrow been injured multiple times in pocket, Matt Stafford in pocket...... The narrative is just lazy IMO. As a QB you don't wanna take any unnecessary hits but plenty of pocket QBs get hurt in the pocket. Having said that Jayden does have to be mindful and protect himself best as he can but still play aggressively. JD's build is rubbery and he is very flexible able to contort his body which is why he's never had issues with injury, he got knocked out of Alabama game in the pocket.
      If he didn't have his dynamic legs Daniels still can beat you from the pocket. All QBs gotta protect themselves though.

    Well I'm not sure that he was the problem in Arizona anyway. Exactly what has Arizona bend since Kingsbury left pretty much the same thing right so maybe the problem in Arizona wasn't him maybe it was his quarterback's attitude and the team as a team

      Thats such a boneheaded and simple-minded perspective.
      Jayden is black therefore racism explains criticizing him.

      What kind of racism only applies when the black guy runs a lot?
      But puts the other black guy above all the other white guys.
      That's not how racism works big dawg.
      But it is how being completely wrong about accusing someone of racism works.
      And how proving someone is simple-minded explaining all criticism of a black man as racism works. That person wasn't intelligent enough to realize another black man was their favorite in the class.
