Nice work :-) Smashing red at the start and stopped the white perfect on the pink. You looked at ease and un-flustered througout, you make a very difficult game look dead easy! Liked the production too, makes it more interesting to watch. Enjoyed it.:-) Keep up the good work.
Hey Sam !! Nice to hear from you. Thanks for your comments, cheque is in the post lol. It may look that way but the game is so difficult. When you think you are getting somewhere you can just hit the wall ! I still feel nervy around 80 - 90. A Century for me is still massive, can't ever see it being any different tbh. I was playing very well for a few weeks, had a stack of big breaks & was starting to feel more confident with my break building. Since then I have had a few sessions where I have gone back to struggling to hit my 50 break target ! Played a few days ago & was rubbish lol. I do try to look for the clearance now more than just my target 50 which is what I used to be aiming for, I try to see 50 as the absolute minimum acceptable practise target. For someone at my level this is sometimes very very difficult ! Thanks again Sam & have a great Christmas !!
Great red at the start! Good cueball control around pink and black area, very component demonstration of break building with a few decent pots thrown in. Zooming in and out feature is good to. Gives the video a more professional feel. Looked like a walk in the park especially the final colours which I would imagine is where you could easily put pressure on yourself and mess it up. Very nice stuff.
Hey Rob, I have to say your photo is great lol (CBs isn't bad either lmao). Thanks m8, appreciate it ! It wasn't quite a walk in the park ! I always feel nervy on the colours, only had one little glitch this time. Left myself a bit high on the blue so had to go off the bottom cushion. Ideally would have been straighter & just stunned down for the pink. In all honesty though about the best final colours out of my big breaks, I usually make a total mess of something & have to pull out something crazy to finish. You are dead right though m8, it is usually the colours where I really feel I am going to miss something easy & spoil all the hard work to get that far. it is the colours when I cross the century line too, which again is massive for me. Thanks again m8.
Very nice breakbuilding :-) I have tried this dozens of times, it is still very difficult to make a break over 30 or 40 for most club players! I realise people will probably say the balls were spread out but it is still bloody hard! Surprising how many times you see on Tv even pros make a mistake when the balls are everywhere. I would be happy with half that break. Impressed and Subscribed (newby to youtube, got a tab for xmas and searched Cardiff)
Welcome to the crazy world of youtube Angryfeet (lol at the name, all sorts of ideas for why you chose that lol). Thanks for the view & comment, always appreciate peoples time to do so. I still find this difficult & I've been doing it since I started back about 18 months ago. I start off in this way as my practise target when I play is a 50 break (& I don't care how i get lol, not good enough to be that fussy !) & I try not to stop until I have got 1. If it happens in the first 1/2 hour or so its great but the longer it takes the harder it becomes. You are right actually though, you do see even great players miss when the balls are everywhere. As Snooker magic pointed out the other day (great player, have a look at his video's) the real work starts when there is only a few reds left & they are spread out. Thanks again Af.
Very nice clearance Craig.------ With that sort of layout i always think the real work starts when you get down to the last 5 or 6 reds. You made it look easy! If you look at mine i normally make the ton but manage to balls up the clearance somewhere on the colours :( Looks like youre a better clearer upper than i am ;) I still think your best break was the 96 on the star table ( a mighty effort indeed). All the best in the new year. Ian :)
Thanks Ian, though I can't agree on the better clearer upper (unless we are talking dishes maybe) lol. You are of course quite right the star 96 was probably the most difficult. I do however have a 98 on this table which is at least as good & stumbled on a higher break from the star table days whilst riffling through files a few weeks ago. I will be posting the 98 in the near future, it is a mad break lol. A constant struggle to develop it to a clearance. Just as an observer m8, your technique does look better than ever, very still. I always feel even if someone isn't playing well they still look classy and dangerous with that sort of technique. Lets be honest, you look around a club & your not concerned about the bloke with his cue stuck through the light, its the guy still down on the shot (with obvious exceptions like the Great Alex etc.) that you know is trouble.
Craig Anthony I know what you mean about players' technique. Sometimes you can almost judge a player before he even strikes the cueball. Ive been staying down longer, but only so the headcam sees the balls dropping into the pockets (hopefully). Ive experimented with different things lately and came to the conclusion that staying down makes no difference (to my game anyway). Had a technique which worked for the last couple of years but has now gone awol. The last couple of months has been one technique after another but just cant find anything which works consistently :( I always judge how well im cueing by the success rate on long straight pots. Success rate has been cue snappingly low for a while! ----You have a very easy going freewheeling style which works well for you. I used to be more like that but somehow got away from it in the last few years.---- Anyway, i plan on trying technique #695 this week. Not sure what it will be yet, tried everything except standing on my head! Hey,that might work!!
bottlecap57 I totally sympathise, I have the same problem. Several months ago I had real confidence in my long potting & general difficult ball potting (you know, digging yourself out of trouble pots). I started trying to stay more still & pausing a little more which seemed to work great for a while. Definitely missed less stupid balls & started to make a lot more breaks. All of a sudden boom ! Long potting is rubbish, down to a couple out of 10 sort of thing (when I had been only missing a couple out of 10 !) & generally struggling with just crazy stuff really. Trouble is once you start messing you kinda can't find you way back to the start. That time when it may not have been perfect but it was good enough to keep a reasonable standard of all aspects. I am playing terrible atm (although had a few health issues). It may sound stupid, but I personally think it has a massive amount to do with state of mind. If things are going well in your life, you are happy & healthy you just don't seem to pull your technique to bits. You just seem to get out there & play confidently & enjoy the game instead of beating yourself up about it. I have often wondered if a good hypnotist could help ? Just get him to program a great pre shot technique in to your mind & never allow you to deviate from it ! Sounds simple lol. Good luck with style 695. Thing is to me your technique is how I wish mine was ! This is a bloody wierd game !
.very quick round the table u make it look very easy . with the music and your good skill this makes it great to watch good idea with the snipits of whats going on in your head as u make the clearence keep uploading cheers! subbing u!
Thanks again for you comments, much appreciated. Maybe it looks easy lol but I am always a mess inside once I get around 90 odd ! Even the easiest shot seems fraught with all sorts of danger lol. Likewise, looking forward to more from you.
when standing behind the shot u look at cue bal, object ball and angle and pocket, but when u r down and featuring, u look at cue bal, object, but do u look or sight the angles towards pocket? plz answer tbx
+mustafa ansari Hi & thanks for the visit to my channel. This is a great question. Apparently when cutting a ball thin you are more likely to pot the ball if you do not look at the pocket when down on the shot. Personally when the cueball, object ball & pocket are in view as in say half ball or 3/4 I would probably being using all 3. Thing is though I guess if you have correctly walked in to the line of shot & judged the angle the pocket becomes pretty irrelevant. For instance when I was younger as a test of cueing, we would cue up at a mid range ball & close our eyes before delivering the cue, it is surprising how many you will pot if you are cueing straight & staying still. I have read loads of different theory's on this tbh. I do feel however you will have a natural method of sighting things & in my own experience if I mess with it too much everything becomes over complicated. Thanks again.
Nice work :-)

Great clearance, looks easy cos balls are well spread but you still have to keep position especially on colours.not as easy as it looks, well done.
Thanks Mike, I appreciate you time to view & comment. I have seen your Snooker video, very nice work. You are a classy player Mike.
