Mistakes our fathers made Will always be the same that we make We never learn We light up our hands and watch them burn Hold on to your gold Hold on to your gold When you find her never let her go Such a lonely world I found someone who made it all seem right again I live figured in the middle And I ran and I stopped to look back Hold on to your gold Hold on to your gold When you find her never let her go
We have now year 2013, and you all can buy that song on iTunes! Album name: Unknown Rooms: A Collection of Acoustic Songs (2012) Song name: Gold (Bonus Track) Song number: 11 :)
As far as i know this song has not been released on any official album or EP. It is however available here: mediafire. com/?ne2nmm2zzdy along with six other songs, including "flatlands". It is tagged Tour 2009, however judging by the quality of the recordings, it could easily be studio-recordings. Absolutely worth a listen. If you want to help people find this, thumb this up (feel dirty saying that). If you want this to be our little secret, don't.
What kind of music is similar to that? I'm trying to find this bluesfolk and dark kind of music in the sound of other bands. Did she mention her influences somewhere?
This deserves millions of views I’m tired of good music like this with less views while rap music is getting millions. People don’t know good music these days
Rap and R&B is good though, Chelsea Wolfe is eclectic in her tastes, pretty sure she digs Rap and R&B as well as millions of others. I actually like how niche she started out as, makes finding these videos and stumbling upon that much more exciting. Seeing her journey from then to now, picking up on all the things she’s changed or rearranged/brought back. The way she’ll replay songs but each time it’s a fresh feeling to that said song, I can’t tell you how many live performances I’ve watched now of Halfsleeper, yet each one is so varied and unique. And that’s just one example of her many ways she reinvents herself and art. She’s amazing, and you don’t have to tear down other music genres to appreciate her talent. 🫶🏼♾️
Less views is better. It takes a certain type of person to understand and appreciate this music. The vast majority of people just dont have the intelligence. Its about quality of audience rather than quantity of audience.
Going back and finding realy old videos of Chelsea Wolfe is amazing, so much change! Totally badass
Mistakes our fathers made
Will always be the same that we make
We never learn
We light up our hands and watch them burn
Hold on to your gold
Hold on to your gold
When you find her never let her go
Such a lonely world
I found someone who made it all seem right again
I live figured in the middle
And I ran and I stopped to look back
Hold on to your gold
Hold on to your gold
When you find her never let her go
But I let fear get in the middle!
this girl makes me cry because she has the voice and the face of an angel.
Love you chelsea
my goodness, but this song is amazing.
even after hearing it over and over and over again.
I adore her.She is a poet!!!!!!!!!!!
THIS SONG is PURE GOLD

Her hair is so different in this early age! I love this song so much.
She is Gold.
this is my favorite Chelsea Wolfe song.
And yes Chelsea Wolfe is an amazing artist ❤️
This is one of the most beautiful songs/videos there is...
Haunting but amazing. Never get tired listning to her.
Dammit. That four-second synth intro was such a tease
I must admit, she looks quite different now than then! Almost didn't recognize her BUT I must say, her music is just terrific. Hauntingly beautiful.
pre-goth aesthetic
She may have not had the goth look here, but she still had that beautiful dark intensity.
by the way, for people asking about the release. it was on her 2009 tour ep, but has since also been included in the "unknown rooms" collection.
Gold never goes Old
Haunting and beautiful.
My God, she's beautiful.
Its like David Lynch music. Surreal and awesome and sometimes creepy.
Beautiful!!!! so beautiful!!!!

This is fucking gorgeous. The heir to PJ's throne, methinks...
No dejo de escucharla....
Could she possibly be any more talented? I love her voice so much. And her minimal musical aesthetic.

God damnit. I'm still way too fucking in to her.
@BruisedEyeSockets I know exactly what you mean. She consumes my mind when I listen.

love devotion
What album is this off of !?!
Why is there a dislike on video. Very strange indeed.
Oh no, I agree. I was just getting a Stone Cole Steve Austin vibe from the face.
Because everyone else does too.
2:22 Is that Stephen Brodsky?
No
doing that now??? they've been doing it since the 70's/80's... Cocteau twins and Lush are two bands that come to mind
This doesn’t sound anything like Cocteau twins or Lush. Plus, beautiful music is eternal.
I have re-uploaded the songs previously taken down, here: mediafire. com/?a7o152zt6l34uo6

Lol she looks so different...
So sad..
Popularity is no sign of merit, most people have simple needs and consume what the industry piles on them , dont let it bother you.
He he. *chugs a beer*
Oh, don't sell your gold.
This is my favorite stupid comment.
i very kindheartedly disagree.
gloomy music
You're entitled to your opinion...but it's wrong.
Man, Chelsea Wolfes early material was sure weak compared to her later stuff.
*yawn*
