This video deserves an Oscar. For one person to prepare this entire feast is mind boggling and my hats off to you! What an amazing feat. I never knew Chinese cooking involved this much work and preparation. My mouth was watering the entire time. Incredible. You are a true professional. I can never look at a fast food Chinese restaurant again and believe I’m getting the very best of Chinese cooking! Amazing!

What I like most is ... that even some videos are very long... I do not get tired of them... Captures my attention completely. I watch it from the begining to the end (the first time), the second I take notes. usially do my "shopping list"... the third one is just before I start cooking (just in case I missed a thing)... and then I try it. The second time I cook the same recipe... well I just change it... I am not as perfectionist as Mandy... and could sacrifice a little bit of texture if needed (such as dehydrating the chicken twice... I thing is too much for me! haha) ...

Well said! Always wondering, why the vids are pretty engaging. Ah! It's because the explanation given behind each of the actions being done. Also, it is beautiful how the chinese food is being named and how the name is explained in pronunciation, writings and so on. Very rich! Like literally and connotatively, because the menu will have gold, jade, pearls, gems and everything. "So, what're u having for dinner?" "Some jade and gold! (choy sum and potatoes)." When we think we're rich, food on the table are also treasures. People of wonder! Beautiful! The bitter melon boat has a very uplifting meaning too, thanks!

Hi Mandy, I am watching from Suriname. Actually I love all your dishes but my favorite s the hakka stoffen tofu. As my grandfather was also Hakka. Unfortunately he died when I was only 4 years old so I did not have much time with him. Although I am just a little more than 25% Chinese, I am obsessed with the Chinese culture and cuisine. Each week I try out 1 of the recipes and I can't remember how many times I made the sesame chicken and the stuffed tofu. 😂 I love the way you always explain everything, so I can learn more about the culture. Thank you for that!

I learned the ins and outs of Chinese Cooking from this channel. I used to blow glass in Santa Cruz, California and take the bus over the hill to San Francisco, which has an awesome Chinatown. My favorite was the ginseng shop.
My father was a famous musician and took me once to San Francisco where I saw an old Chinese woman practicing Taiji in the park. This effected me greatly. I was actually shocked when I saw it. She was so beautiful.

My husband and I have loved every recipe we have tried, but our most used recipe is the Shrimp and Broccoli Stirfry. We use this recipe about once a week. Sometimes we substitute the shrimp with chicken or pork....the sauce is perfect! We also have your wok. I have also purchased one for my son. I am so thankful for you , you are a wonderful teacher. Blessings.
