"I originally had the idea for this arrangement in mid-2017. It was soon after completing my "Keys to the Cinema" album of movie music, and you can hear some remnants of that style persist in this arrangement, particularly the alternating 5th/6th pattern in the right hand and the fast and fleeting passagework of the final statements. Until this past month, the only records of the arrangement were iPhone recordings of snippets... 16 bars here and there. I went back through all of those recordings, organized the ideas into just one, and that became what you hear in this video. I hope you enjoy all of the emotions and images I tried to convey here: solemn awe, wonder, majesty, and more!
