Just a note for anyone who feels they might want to try Better Help - please do your research. There are lots of testimonies of people having negative experiences with them and even them potentially getting into legal trouble by not properly vetting their therapists, who may not be properly qualified. If you have used Better Help and it’s worked for you that’s great, I just think that everyone should be aware of the allegations so they can make an informed choice. There are alternatives out there for online / more affordable therapy that aren’t BH.

    Pros to using baby reins: adds safety, allows the child to feel free, less heavy to hold than a child;
Con: some nobody you've never heard of gets passive aggressive over it on Instagram because they think they know better (every child is the same, after all)
    Tough choice lol
I'm sorry that nonsense tainted those beautiful pictures for you

You don’t ever have to explain yourselves as parents - You are both amazing, loving, people. I also think having the security of being attached to a toddler, especially one who’s a runner, is ALWAYS a better alternative to what could happen without it. Love to y’all! Glad you had a great trip to Barthelona 😘

People get SO upset by toddler reins, but actually they give little ones more freedom by letting them walk on their own---even running around and exploring---while still staying safe and connected to you. Anyone bothering to glance at Ziggy would see that he's enjoying himself! Some people really are just looking for a way to feel self-righteous, but I hope you don't let it get to you too much. You're both wonderful mums, and Ziggy is so lucky to have you. ♥

It's terrible what happened to you two. Having toddler reins was big when I was a toddler in the 60s, then when the James Bulger incident happened reins became big again. You two are trend setters and are keeping your SON SAFE. I am thankful for my parents for keeping me safe at a time in my life I couldn't, Ziggy will be forever grateful that you kept him safe.

Was a leash baby myself, my nickname as a toddler was pocket rocket cuz I would literally shoot off at a moments notice without notice. Can say wholeheartedly I hold no resentment against my parents for taking this safety measure especially when we were living in the city. Like you said people like to have a go over nothing in order to just feel something. Always far more satisfying not giving them the satisfaction I say.

My sister was on toddler reigns for ages, it turns out she is autitsic & has adhd, so she often got distracted & would run off towards something that captured her interest, my parents could tell it wasnt malicious & it kept her safe. I’m so thankful for those toddler reins as you called them. When I was little, my dad had one on my wrist that was attached to him while we were splashing in the ocean. A wave knocked my dad down, and I got dragged out in the undertow. If my dad didn’t have me attached to him, I could’ve drowned, but he was able to pull me back in using that. Don’t let anyone get you down. Screw them!

Ok, ok I have never stopped a video in mid stream to make a comment..but never say never. I am over 60 years old and when I was a toddler my family went to the Worlds Fair in Florida, USA. I was a runner also. There were no such things as toddler harnesses. My Mom clipped an actual dog leash to my shirt collar to keep me from running off or getting snatched. It was brilliant. I have been told she received positive comments from other parents. Ok back to the video 💖

Honesty cognitive behavioural therapy was the best thing I ever did. I have severe generalised anxiety, OCD, PTSD, panic attacks and insomnia. I cant take medication because I cant make it more than 5 days without being hospitalised due to dehydration from sensitivities to the active ingredients. I had behavioural therapy the first time when I first got diagnosed and then again about 12 months later when I had a few big traumatic things happen. I'd say the first time I was given the tools and understood them but it didnt fully click. The second time it just clicked right away and suddenly everything made sense. Even now 12 years later I struggle with my mental health, but I always have those tools there that help massively.
I also notice it really helps me deal with other people as well.

I used to have reins when I was a toddler and I hated them but that's because it was usually used as a punishment when I was already upset about something (probably something ridiculous like my mum was being a good parent and wouldn't let me go run out in the traffic). You know what, I can't link any mental health issues back to wearing reins as a child. Pahaha how silly and judgemental people can be...

My grandma taught me most of what I would ever need in life with a few simple statements she always made. 1. She would say Jennifer if you don't love someone, and they mean nothing to you why let them influence how you feel on the inside. 2. All I ask is you do what makes you happy in life and do the best you possibly can. 3. We cannot possibly judge a person whose life we have not lived. 4. Lastly, she would always say I love you, then she would say you want to know why, I'd say why, and she would say just because I do. Point is you are always doing all you can, with all you know, in any single moment to be the best moms you can be and that shows in every video. On a less serious note, you both are Gemini's, so it is best he stays connected in case you go floating off with all that air lol💚

Also, love you loving yourself, Rosie. I can very much relate, as I only just began embracing the real me and stopped caring about outer opinions. As a spiritual person, lessons are very real.

Hating the comments on your style of parenting. Both of you have been such unproblematic queer role models online since the age of dawn, people just want reasons to bring you down. You’re amazing people and such beautiful parents. I just love seeing Ziggy and you’ll just grow together. Seeing queer families just living is such a blessing ❤✨

Unless you are a danger to your child, he's happy well adjusted child, until you've lost a child and recovered them hours later, don't judge people who use toddler reigns, I watch your channel a lot and you do what makes you feel safe and happy, ziggy is a lovely child and you can't he comes from a loving family, be proud.😊

Super proud of you for starting CBT! I hope it helps where you need it to. Just wanna say, too, thar if you ever wanted to tackle your OCD specifically - there’s an app in the U.S. and UK called NOCD and it connects to therapists specially trained in your type of OCD. I used them for ERP and it was great. I still have some work to go, but I really notice a difference in how quickly I can put the breaks on rumination and compulsions. Best of luck with everything, Rose! Lots of love to you both! xx ❤️
Edit: With absolutely no offense meant to BetterHelp, btw. 😅 I use them also (thanks to one of your previous sponsored vids) for CBT because multiple therapies means multiple healing, amirite? Amazing sponsor, that BetterHelp place. You heard it here straight from the audience mouth, RUclips brand associate at BetterHelp who’s definitely reading this… it’s really cool.
(Maybe BetterHelp could partner with NOCD someday, though? Might be fun. If that suggestion somehow wants to make it to their respective marketing departments. 👀 Just sayin’.)

Fully support toddler reins! My best use has been busy airport I’m wheeling two suitcases and my toddler can happily walk without going to far. I didn’t have the ability to carry him, the stroller had the car seat, he could walk. Wins all round.

I don’t really love the ‘toddler reins’ on kids but I saw your pictures and though “weird” but then saw him with it and free, so I thought “oh nice!” Liked the pictures and moved on, i know you guys for a while so I knew you would do whatever you were bc you had reason and weren’t doing it for the reason many other people do, like not have to deal with their kids, but I didn’t comment anything bc to me it was clear, there’s a picture of him with it and no one holding him for gods sake… Rose, hope you feel better and don’t listen to people who think they can be a better parent than you for your own kid! Lots of love ❤

My sister had nanny elbow, so she was put on a leash and random ppl would stop my parents to let them know how cruel and humiliating it was to her, and unfair bc my brother wasn’t on one and they’re about a 15 months apart.

Hello! Sharing experiences I’ve had, I’ve never been to Barcelona so I don’t know if it’s the same there, but when I’ve been abroad to Turkey, Portugal etc, lots of people there would touch my head and tap it. It’s because in those places they see blonde hair as being lucky, and myself being blonde, lots of people just came up and touched my head! Not sure if that was the case for Rosie and Ziggy, but when you said about that, that was the first thing I thought of. Equally, he could have been some pr**k.

I loved that you have a rein for Ziggy. My husband is an identical twin and back when he and his brother were toddlers Their Mom had a double harness for them when she took them out when shopping and that was in the 50’s. Soo that is not new just wanted to pass that on. I love you both and your amazing Moms and beautiful, fantastic and talented women. ❤️😘I am from Dripping Springs, Tx which is 13 miles west of Austin.

Toddlers run. They drop to their knees and you can pull their arms out of socket. Also kids are kids. They aren't always going to listen. But the leash is to help keep them safe
