- The WNBA draft is just a week away, and we have more excitement for the Women's game than ever before, which is awesome. Caitlin Clark will be leaving Iowa and is a guarantee to be selected first overall by the Indiana Fever, as she's the best prospect likely in league history. She'll team up with Aliyah Boston to make a new dynamic duo for the Fever. But it's not just Clark. There are three other elite prospects in this draft namely Camilla Cardoso, Cameron Brink and Rickea Jackson who will all go in the top four. Then you have other intriguing players like Angel Reese, Dyaisha Fair, and Elizabeth Kitley, as well as others. I even have two international players via the WNBL going in the first round. Let me know your thoughts!!!

Rickea jackson is a sleeper pick
True. Pretty good at just about everything. Maybe the most well rounded player in the class
Rickea Jackson is going number 2. She is the most complete player in the draft and the Sparks will not risk losing her.
Best thing that could ever happen to the WNBA is that Indiana takes Cardoso at #1 and Los Angeles gets Caitlyn Clark at #2. Catilyn in the bright lights and glamor of Hollywood would absolutely save the WNBA.

Remember that not only do the Wings have Teira Mc and Kalani Brown who both played well at center last year but also have Stephanie Soars returning from her ACL. I don’t think they have to draft a post. They most need a PG but no elite ones are coming out. Hate Amoore decided to stay another year.
The reason why I'm fine with the Wings taking a non-PG with this pick, is because they're going to have the Chicago Sky pick in next year's draft, which could very likely end up top 3.
That draft is most likely going to have a plethora of talented guards lead by Paige Bueckers and Olivia Miles. Taking an Aaliyah Edwards with the #5 pick would be like a chess not checkers move. They could also take Leila Lecan with the #9 pick, and have their guard rotation next season projected to look like Arike/Leila/Sky Pick/Senechal.

N. Howard is 32 y.o., so bringing in a young PF could be a solid move despite being set at the Position. They could draft a PG at #9. Esp. an Int'l player...
@@Olmec-a_Supreme16 Also Sabally was only signed on a 1 year deal and is coming off of offseason shoulder surgery. I don’t like this notion that the Wings are stacked at the forward positions.

I really wish Kate Martin declared for the draft.The girl is good. She can shoot the 3, she can shoot the fade away and hit the mid range and is a good defender.
She did declare, will probably go 3rd round if she does get drafted, otherwise she said she’d go overseas or seek a coaching career. It’d be cool if the Fever took her with their 3rd rounder to pair with Clark.
It is my understanding that a Graduate student doesn't need to declare.

I like Kitley but I can't see teams taking her @7 w/ an ACL injury that'll keep her out the entire 2024 season. My guess is she comes off the board no earlier than 10 & maybe slips into the 2nd rd. Also, I think Cardoso & Reese have some boom-or-bust 2 them; who they're coached by & how much their skills r developed early on will be crucial 💯
Sparks need someone who has everything now, that's why they won't take Reese, and will pass on Cardoso.
KC and AR won championships in college and can help lead teams. Plus they're not selfish players. 😃
I think Reese goes 4 to The Sparks. She’s not the best player, but will sell the second most tickets after Clark. She will sign with Clutch Sports

I have her higher than many. She hasn’t dropped for me at all. Clark has always been one, Jackson/Brink/Cardoso have always been the next tier. So the highest Reese could have been was 5

Kamilla Cardoso is not getting drafted over Cameron Brink. Brink will be the number two pick. Rickea Jackson will be the number 3 pick. Angel Reese will not get drafted in the top 5.

Reese can play the 4 and the 5. Her extremely high level rebounding ability as well as interior scoring makes her an ideal center despite being somewhat undersized. And yes, while McCowan is solid, there's plenty of room for an upgrade there.

Fever need to try and trade Mitchell and Wheeler as a package. I don't think Clark and Mitchell will be able to share the ball, and this is definitely Clark's team now.

In my opinion the 🗽 should pick Gabbie Marshall out of Iowa anybody that can hold Paige Beucker to 17pts in the semifinals is WNBA ready.
She didn’t declare for the draft as she is not pursuing a pro basketball career.

She is not a wnba player, her defense is solid but will be worse in the wnba as her size will be a major problem. Also only average 6.5ppg and can’t create her own shots. Also she has her own goals outside of basketball that she’s rather pursue

@@averagebyfieldenjoyer6338it’s a pretty good reason, she’s super skilled and mobile for her height too. I understand Brinks college dominance but there’s a lot more size in the wnba than NCAA for women, it’s a tough pick but I understand his point.
