Love these, gonna be in Destin soon and workerd out a class. Tyler was great on the phone for customer service and did a great job of answering all my questions.
it's too early to say, it's just a prototype testing. I expect it to come out next summer. It's looking very promising but they have to work more on the reliability and longer battery life, so far it's only 15-20 mins.
@JetSurfingNation Could e-boards be used in a jetsurf/motosurf race competition? We surfers prefer to respect nature, and not add more pollution (water, air, noise) if we can help it. It seems that with performance specs like the 2018 Lampuga Air (e-surfer.com/en/2018-lampuga-air-jetsurfer/), e-boards are on-par with their gas-powered counterparts. Thoughts?
Not really. It will take a few years before e-boards get anywhere close to the performance of petrol. So far unfortunately they are too heavy, too slow and the battery lasts mere 15 minutes. However I look forward to the future, there is a lot of progress made! Lampuga air is amazing recreational family board, it's not a racing board. It's a big inflatable board. Most promising electric boards are Esurf (Sweden) and Awake but both are in early prototype stages. Jetsurf Electric is of course very promising as well but also a lot of work to be done before it goes on sale..
JetSurfing Nation Thanks for the information, I will have to look that up for sure. Right now I'm doing a safe boaters' course from Transport Canada and it is written in the book that motorized surfboards are illegal in Canada. Actually I am very surprised at what is legal and illegal when boating. I put an electric motor on my Seahawk 2 inflatable boat which is legal in Canada. When I got back to the shore the police were there and asked me for my safe boaters'card which I didn't know I needed it for an inflatable boat. Apparently you do. I got off with a warning and given time to take the course online. The other boaters on the lake must have reported me.

JetSurfing Nation, ok thanks formation
Any guess what this new (e-on) Jetsurf Electric board will cost?

I just read that motorized surfboards are illegal in Canada. What a shame!

There are certain lakes where 2 stroke engine is not allowed. But its not whole country. In fact in the river and ocean no permission even needed
I'll be sure to look it up. I found a bunch of other mistakes in the book from Transport Canada. Jet surfing looks like a lot of fun! Thanks!
