This is coming from someone who plays Kingdom Hearts at Level 1 and does speedruns at Level 1, so it takes a lot to impress me when it comes to one of my best gaming franchises. Alternatively, the guy probably used her for a one night stand and she wants a pure and simple relationship, but doesn't understand that he doesn't care.
The japanese lyrics are written for the game. Utada couldn't quite translate the lyrics and still make the song sound right so she rewrote some of them.
