Hey Guys. Thanks for your interest in this steel frame! I've decided to cut them on my plasma table and offer them up for sale. You can check it out on my new Etsy shop page here: Purchase the Tatara A6 Steel Frame here, plasma cut by yours truly: www.etsy.com/listing/565664742/anet-a6-steel-frame-upgrade-kit-tatara Also check out all the links in the description for thingiverse files and links for all the upgrade parts.
Marcel LeMay i would only weld it if it is scewed together ... and only with tig I am a bit crazy about the Distortion from the welding in a cnc machine ... But good vid ;) Greetings from a german Construction welder ;)
Smalltown Farmer88 Hey man. I'm ok. I've been building a house outside in the January cold. I've been tired, and no spare time. Thanks for checking in.
Oh that's looks interesting. I would like to see it put together and have a print comparaison between the stick and the metal frame. I really liked that.
Eric Mathieu Hey, you know that's a great idea! Before I take the old setup apart, I should print a benchy as a reference. I'm gonna push the limits of the stock frame by increasing jerk and acceleration. Then I'll print another one with the same parameters on the steel frame. Thanks for the idea.

Merry Christmas and prosperous new year Marcel LeMay, I noticed when you cut all the pieces that there are two pieces of fastening of the Z axis that are not when you painted all the sets and are to grab the smooth rods Z, wishing to see the 3 part thanks for reading me
Hi, I enjoyed your shop talk. Did it work out for you with the steel frame and the A6 standard parts? I plan to use my industrial plasma cutter at work to cut these parts and i am wondering about the quality of the outcome. Did you had to work the parts after the cutting like redrilling holes or grinding grooves open?
Actually they came out pretty good. I used a fine cut tip on the plasma cutter. The only thing I had to do was clean off the slag. I welded the frame together instead of screwing it because I could. I did sell some and no one had any problems screwing it together.
Robert Beltowski The files to have them cut are in thingiverse. I stopped making them because they weren't profitable to make and the shipping charges are to high...most people complained that shipping was too expensive. Hence my decision to discontinue making them. Thanks for watching. You can download the files and have them laser cut locally.
Michelle Weibel I'm building a house right now...not much time for making a video. I'll get back to it as soon as I'm not so darn tired every night...lol
Marcel LeMay wish I had one. I hope you'll still be making them in February or March. I'm on SSI income. It almost $200 for it and shipping but well worth it. It might be cheaper to go with the aluminum t frame stuff.
I really like the looks of the steel frame. I checked the Etsy store and I must question the prices. You're in the US but the price is Canadian with shipping from Canada? What's up with that? I don't mind buying directly from you but I've bought from Etsy before and it wasn't a good experience. Anyway, I still want to see it all together and working. Thanks for making this.

max kuhlmann No problem with distortion. It was easy and quick. Just spot welds really. No need to completely weld this.
Marcel LeMay you do very good work I see you have t done a video in a while I hope all is well buddy look forward to your next video

Hey Man! Great Job!!

Hello Marcel .
I was looking through my copy of LeMay genealogy I was unable to find the connection.
to ease out the screwing use a piece of tape to keep nuts from falling around and stay in place, way easier that way :)
Love the steel frame, I do not see it listed.....are you still making them?
Thanks, Robert

Chris HITCHABOUT Kollar
Cool! Thanks for watching. I just cut out a few frames today.
Marcel LeMay to bad there's not a way to do payments and then to ship once paid. It would be easier on me since I'm on a fixed income.
Chris HITCHABOUT Kollar Credit card?

Chris HITCHABOUT Kollar Where are you located Chris. The highest shipping is $40 to the west coast. East Coast is a cheaper. The frame is $79.

George, Etsy defaults to Canadian dollars you have to go into your profile and change it.
OK I changed my profile and that looks much better. Thanks.
i found a shop here to cut it, however, they're asking for a nested file. is that a thing?
Chris HITCHABOUT Kollar
A nested file is a thing. Unfortunately one is not available at the moment. I'm working on one, but it's gonna be a while.
