Those bricks that are shown at the first of the video look masterful! Amazing. Well, the stones and concrete or milled stones to top off the walls all look truly amazing. You go the extra fifty miles. First you made the bricks on the wall and the street look like they would not long after being built, then you come back and add at least 25 years of weathering and make it look so simple and easy. The message below says "It's a pleasure to watch you work." and I have to agree 100%. I'm long winded when I write a comment, sorry about that and at the same time, I feel like I have a lot to say about your work.

Another awesome diorama sir!!👏👏🙂 The bridge is great, even more so that you 3D printed it… Your skills with an airbrush are enviable, the work on the tank is terrific - and I’ve seriously got ‘desk clamp envy’!! Have you a link?
The Churchill was the first tank I ever built so always had a soft spot for it, this one with the weathering & dirt is very nice👌 Needless to say, the groundwork on the foam & the detailing is perfect, really need to think about doing a whole base like this in future! You can have a lot of fun detailing & highlighting all the shadows, grime etc….
Really professional job on the whole project Ian, an hours worth of pure quality modelling ….🔝🥇

PS: The tank commander has the pose and facial expression of someone who just received a really outstandingly stupid order. TBH, he looks like me when I had conference calls with my American superiors, aka "bullshit bingo".

THAT my friend, is a real piece of art, absolutely stunning.
I didn't even notice how long the video was and I don't think cutting it shorter would have done it jusfice.
Great camera work too, filming what your doing without getting it off camera or having a head in the way can be difficult to do and you made it easy to watch.
    Very well done all round.

Yet another very impressive project. The skills set you command are very comprehensive and I like the attention to historical detail. I live in the Netherlands and this and your Aalst diorama are very good.
As a matter of interest why did you scratch build the lower bridge sections? It would have been easy for you to draught the layout in CAD and print them ?
If I were to offer a constructive but minor criticism its that there is very little happening between the figures in terms of interaction or drama. Yes they are all looking towards the officer but their poses are semi static. With your skills chopping them up and using wire armatures to get the poses right shouldn't be a problem.
Maybe something for your next project?

    • @CWModelling
      @CWModelling  2 года назад +1

Thanks......originally I did intend to print the whole bridge but I had some failed print issues with the bottom structure and in the end I lost patience with the 3D printer and scratch built it instead......figure manipulation and sculpting is something I'm working towards doing but at the moment I trying to practice other skillsets👍

.I'm enjoying all of your builds, mainly because of your eye for detail.
I have a question, at around 19:00 in you use a jig to hold the model while washing and weathering.
What is it and where did you buy it? I am partially disabled with a paralyzed left arm and can not hold any parts with it.
This jig would help me a lot putting a model together and not having to tape everything down. Thanks for letting me know...

@@CWModelling Thanks a million... unfortunately it shows Out of Stock on their website.. See if I can contact them and find out if it will be available again in the future.
Planning an Ardennes farm with snow myself and a Sherman using the whitewash technique with hairspray
First have to order the foam from Hobby Lobby which I found thanks o you tip on what you use which is not available here in the US but the one from Hobby Lobby is just as good, if not better because it is smoother...
Looking forward to your next diorama..I was thinking of building a diorama 'A bridge too far'with the bridge in Arnhem but after calculating I found out it's more than half a meter long in 1/35 I gave up on that idea... I don't have the space too display it once it would be finished... now I'm thinking of a diorama earth a Bailey bridge if I can find one. I drove over one on my way to school in Belgium in the 1960s. We had one from the war and still intact over the Albert Canal... I knew of three still existing and in use a few miles apart... and some bunkers next to the canal we used to play in.... demolished by now I learned...
