This is the first video in my dental anatomy series, and a basic introduction to some vocabulary used in dental anatomy. Serves as a foundation to learn about all the teeth in more detail. Hope you enjoy.

This video was very helpful and clarified some things I didn't understand except now i'm confused about one thing, so just to clarify, I thought that contact POINTS were for teeth in opposing arches when in occlusion and contact AREAS were the proximal surfaces of one tooth contacting the proximal areas of adjacent teeth? Anyone?

Contact points are where the maxillary teeth touch the mandibular teeth. The contact areas are where the teeth touch in the same arch.
