Fantastic! This is true history as we will probably never see this operation again. Thanks so much for capturing it and sharing! What a great video!!! Thank you!!!!!
Think I hear a Nikon F4 clicking away in the background of some of the clips. Wish more people had filmed the NWP/California Northern before abandonment. Thank you for sharing. I live in Sonoma County, but was born too late to experience it for myself.

What a great video!!!
Thank you!!!!!
Phenomenal time capsule. Never thought I'd see films of the NWP. I did ride The Skunk in the late 60s but didn't see any surrounding NWP activity.
Phenominal....Fantasic...The NWP lives here in this video! THANK YOU FOR POSTING!
I remember all that track very well. I’ve run trains on it many times. Lots of memories. 👍👍👍❤️
I miss the days when you could get that close without someone calling the cops.
Makes me really wish I'd had a video camera back then. Thank you for posting!
Really wish there was more footage of the north end during this time, hardly any exists at all. Nice video, thanks for posting.
Northern End of the NWP is all sadly Abandoned and I don't think the New NWP will ever Operate the Northern Section of the NWP to Willits California
That green and cream paint scheme sure looked good on those SD9s (and the GP15s, for that matter).
Great video, thank you for sharing this wonder piece of history, Love those SD9's!
Fond memories indeed, except I got to grow up there in the 60s and 70s when six engine trains were a common sight.

Nikon 8008S I believe
I grew up on those tracks. I don't remember California Northern at all. Probably came along long after I left the area in 1970.
Almost 30 years ago today. 1993/1994 turns 30.
Good one, . . . .
Thank god for those little flashing amber lights. Otherwise I'd have missed the entire thing.
Neat video, too bad almost all of this is gone now.
Good luck with your video
I also do content like that 🥰
3 SD's, 2 cars..not over powered in the slightest
