Because of taxes and saving/making more money. Also New York is such a trashy city. You visit everyone is rude and it’s a dump. People that wanna visit go once and never go back. It’s a dump and the people are rude AF. Chicago people are so much better and nicer. I go back there all the time. I went to NY once and NOPE. Also the pizza is overrated and sucks.
New York died about 10 years ago. It used to be such a great city to explore. Now all the mom and pop shops are mostly gone. The vibrancy of the Burroughs is all gone. It's just a place for hipsters with no soul these days.
