This was incredible, Jim! What an awesome collection you have. Your enthusiasm for the collection is infectious. I think my favorite book is the one that started it all--the gift from your mom in 1978. Very moving. Thanks, Jim. This was just a real treat.
You have a fantastic Batman book collection. I'm not sure whether I have more Batman books or Green Lantern books. Probably Batman, but it would be close. The first comic I owned was Batman. I can't remember which one it was. Aparo is probably my iconic Batman artist. I really enjoyed this!
Awesome video as always Jim. I am a huge Batman fan myself I own quiet a collection of Graphic novels, like The Dark knight returns by Frank Miller. And The Killing joke by Alan Moore. I recently bought the complete Batman 1960s tv show on bluray. I love the crazy humour of the original series And the Darker side we see now in films like The outstanding Christopher nolan Batman trilogy.
I'm not a DC guy, but of their stable of heroes Batman is absolutely my favorite. Great video Jim! (Batman 3D - if only you could get the 3d to come across on RUclips!) (That Wagner art looks amazing)
Thanks for sharing! Yours and Michael's videos were fun to watch. Those Neal Adams collections are nice. The modern Adams collections retouched the color and very much lowered the quality of the pencil art in my opinion.
Nice collection. I like Matt Wagner, his Grendel and Mage books are particularly dear to me, but haven't seen his Batman work until now. I have rarely liked side kicks ( I couldn't stand "boy" in the Tarzan films) so whenever Robin was with Batman it upset me. I tried voting to kill off Jason Todd. I got a busy signal. An artist edition of Batman Year One came out this month. Frank Miller was at his peak in creativity then with Daredevil, Ronin, Dark Knight, Batman Year One, DD Born Again, Elektra Assassin...all within 7 year period. One of my favorite panels in comics is when Batman holds Talia in his arms and they share a kiss. Neal Adams drew sexy men and women. Don Newton came close. Do you have the DC treasury edition that collects the Ra's Al Ghul storyline? It's fantastic! Didn't see The Killing Joke or Arkham Asylum. Two of my favorite Batman stories. Interesting video.
I do have The Killing Joke and many others, but they were buried somewhere. I did the phone in for the "Death in the Family" story, voting to kill Robin, and actually got through. Thanks, Libro!
I know this is out of step, but I loved the series with Adam West. When I was a little girl, that was it, and they had great guest stars. I even have comics from that time, and autographed pics of Adam West as Batman and Yvonne Craig as Batgirl.
@@MysteryandMayhem-gr7nn I wanted to be Batgirl, I begged my parents for a dressing table like hers. (I did get one as an adult, but it isn't attached to a secret room.) It's funny, Catwoman was my favorite villain and everyone loved her (I loved all three actresses who played her,) but I wanted to be Batgirl, I even got a costume for Halloween. Didn't you laugh when famous actors started to talk to dynamic duo as the climbed up past their apartments? My favorite was Sammy Davis Jr, he was so funny, even though it was a cameo, I have never forgotten it.
That's very cool, Sherri! I had a chance to meet Adam West and Julie Newmar a few years ago at FanExpo Toronto, but I decided not to get in line. I kind of regret it now.
The first book you showed, I also got in the 70's as a gift from my mother!! Still in my bookcase along with a matching Superman book!!
That's awesome! She didn't know what she started by buying me that book. 😆 Thanks!

That book is one of my most treasured possessions, Pat. Thanks so much for watching, and I'm glad you enjoyed it. 🙏😄💯
@@MysteryandMayhem-gr7nn it is a treasure for sure. I loved the whole video. Thanks, Jim.
@BookChatWithPat8668 You're very welcome, Pat. Take care! 😊
Upvoted the minute I heard the theme song from the original 60’s Batman TV show! Great job!
Thank you, Phil. I appreciate that very much!
What a great idea! 😂 Fantastic video!
Thanks, Michael. I'm quite proud of myself. 😉 Seriously, your video was great!
Superb, Jim 🦇 just shared it to my friend, Adam Savage.(That book w 3-D glasses!) 🕶️
Thanks, Allen! I had a lot of fun doing this one.
This was great fun!
Thank you, Mark!

Thanks, Gramaticus! I might have to read that one again with some 3-D glasses. It's been a while. Don't tell MKV that Batman is your favourite. 😏
What a feast of a video!
Thanks, Steve! I really enjoyed doing this one. Sorry for the bad quality. I'm not too sure what happened.
Now the picture looks fine. It was blurry all day yesterday. Must have been a Wi-Fi issue on my end.

Hi Sherri, I loved the series. I used to take it so seriously as a kid and couldn't figure out what people were laughing about at the time. 😆

It was such a great show, Sherri! I don't blame you for wanting to be Batgirl. Yvonne Craig was awesome and gorgeous.
@@MysteryandMayhem-gr7nn I met her, she was still beautiful and down to earth and sweet.
