I've been looking for a nice budget shell for Charix so I can start building around it and this is great! Your video was well paced and well edited too keep it up bro
Haha that's fair! I did briefly consider it, but didn't like that it only gave evasion. I probably should have put that in instead of Zenith Seeker. I think once I mentally discarded Hot Soup, I just never circled back to it. If you build anything like this, Hot Soup would be a great inclusion!
Hi Bad Egg, welcome to the channel! I am actually a pretty huge fan of the enchantments that turn creatures into 1/1's with no abilities. That said, when choosing removal here I mostly found myself weighing the cards speed (instant or sorcery), efficiency (Pongify is 1 mana), flexibility (Curse of Swine can hit any amount of things, Imprisoned in the Moon can hit a variety of permanent types), and my meta (I face a lot of token decks, so Echoing Truth is a soft board wipe in a lot of games I play). Honestly, Frogify and Kasmina's Transmutation weren't all that far from making the cut, here. If you want to use them in your version, I say go for it!
I want to buy this deck as my first commanderdeck because i have the commander in special art. But 2 of my friends have dragon d&d decks. One has tiamat or something like that. Will this deck be able to compete with their decks? (dragons, flying, get 4 dragons when he plays tiamat, stuff like that) because if that isn't the case i can't play the deck because i will auto lose. If someone knows something pls help me figure that out :D.
Hi Tien. Though it pains me to say it, I would not recommend this deck as a first deck. It's not meant for high power levels, but instead at casual tables that enjoy playing "jank". More importantly, while it can blow a person or two out per game with commander damage, it's a difficult deck to pilot due to the land sacrifice. I would recommend going with a more straightforward deck. Charix is a fun commander, but not super powerful.
Yep, no Mitotic Manipulation or Travelers Amulet. In the case of the Amulet, it was directly up against Wanderer's Twig and Renegade Map. I chose the map because of it's lower mana investment, and I didn't include all of them because I was just out of spell slots for that kind of effect. Mitotic Manipulation is an interesting card that I didn't actually think about when building this. I don't like it's small% chance of whiffing, but I could see you making a nice place for it. Good suggestion!
High production value, nice voice, good humor and fun deck. You are criminally underviewed. Thanks and subbed!
Good to hear on all counts! Thank you!

Will do, thanks for commenting! And great word choice.
How did Hot Soup not make it into this deck? It would have been a huge flavor win!
