    I have a 2013 Escape SE and had a P0354 code and the issue was the connector on top of coil #3 wasn't all the way secured. So pulled it off replaced it and made sure the grey tab clicked and all is good in the world.
    Hope this helps anyone watching this video

    Would recommend doing some diagnostic testing before just replacing part.

    I have a 2004 Grand Marquis with a P0355 code problem. I've replaced all the plugs, all the coils, replaced a second #5 coil, replaced plugs twice, cleaned the coil connectors with contact cleaner, installed a new throttle position sensor, new idle air control motor, new fuel filter, air filter is clean, had the vacuum lines checked. Still the same problem. RPM's drop from 800 to about 500 when you come to a stop after about 20 seconds. This has now caused my AC Compressor to stop working. What do you suggest? I've been to 4 Ford dealers, and they won't even work on the car.

      Every get it fixed?
      Try your o2 sensors. Front and back of you Cat.
      I have a F150 5.4L and changed/cleaned/rebuild just about everything. I had a " Crank No Start " for over a week. Battery died so I lost all my codes. Found out it was 3 of 4 of my o2 sensor. ( huh go figure). Sometimes you can just clean them.

      @@locknload9143 HI Tom, and thaniks for your concern and the reply. I think you'll find this interesting. A Formet Ford Master Technician has a video on youtube regarding engine light / ignition issues. I mentioned to him about having plugs changed twice, new coils, and several other carburetor related parts replaced, and the engine light would still come back on, and I would get that hesitation or jerking when you accelerate, which some people mistakenly think is a transmission problem. He told me that after replacing plugs and coils, that if the engine light comes back on, I may need to have the main computer (power train control module) reprogrammed. Prior to his telling me this, I called or went to 6 Ford dealers in the Ft. Lauderdale / Miami area. Not one dealership mentioned a thing about reporgramming the main computer when I told them what my problem was. Nation Ford had the car a full day, and gave it back, no charge, telling me they couldn't do a thing with the car; that I might need to have the main computer replaced, and that since Ford no longer carries the computer, there was nothing they could do. Funny as well that the service rep showed me a repair order on a 2007 Grand Marquis with 35,000 miles, and said the car would not start, so he would have to tell the lady that they could not service her car. Palmetto Ford, Kendall Ford said there was nothing they could do for me. Gus Machado Ford told me they don't work on any vehicles with over 135,000 miles. Would you buy a car from a dealer if he told you they won't service your car if you drive it too much ?
      Metro Ford had two service reps talk to me. The lady had no clue, and the guy thought I might have a transmission problem. I declined to let them work on the car because they said it would be at least a full week before they could work on the car.
      I was already familiar with Lorenzo Ford, who ripped me off for 650 dollars to replace a fuel pump on my 77 Mercury wagon, they had the car for 3 days. I called Saw Grass Ford, and their service rep didn't sound very encouraging. So when I found out that I may need the PCM reprogrammed, I tried calling Pines Ford in Pembroke Pines FL, a part of Ft. Lauderdale. They did reprogram the main computer. It worked ok for a while, but I had to take it back for the same problem. The second visit I asked them to replace all the coils, and then reprogram the computer.
      That finally fixed the problem, and the car runs great and has been doing well ever since. When you have this engine light problem, eventually if not repaired, it will shut down the AC compressor to protect it. Once the PCM is reprogrammed, the compressor will reactivate.
      Thank God I found a Ford Dealer who could fix it. The first visit to Pines Ford cost 428 dollars. The second visit cost 927 dollars. However, if I had taken the car there to begin with, I would have saved about 500 dollars in needless repairs that two other mechanics did trying to fix the problem.
      It's hard to believe the overall incompetency of these Ford dealerships, that the majority of them in this area can't fix what amounts to a Ford / Mercury fleet vehicle, used by police and taxi services to this day.

    I changed the #2 coil on my 2010 Ford Edge 6 cylinder. All 6 plugs have been changed. Still showing a p0352 code. I think it may be the electrical signal between the ECM and the coil's connection plug. How do I diagnose/trace/fix this?

    • @moxmann
      @moxmann 2 года назад

      Yes, I experienced the same thing with a Ford it may be the computer. I tested the connectors and there was no signal. The only thing was the computer and wire harness had been replaced about 6 months ago before the engine coils.
