Because they can do better. As a basketball fan, watching the WNBA pisses me off. They do too much stupid shit like rushing shots, air balls, and bad passes when there is weak defense and better plays to be made. It’s almost like they are trying to be the NBA when they are not. Just play your own game and play smart. And Women’s college basketball is far better than the WNBA. The WNBA is just more popular because it’s the NBAs version of the Make A Wish Foundation. Fancy me this, how does someone with a 9’2 standing reach fail to dunk on most of her attempts AKA Brittney Griner? There are some players I appreciate watching like Sabrina Ionescu, Breanna Stewart, and Kelsey plum, but other than those I haven’t been that impressed by their shooting or overall skills. Hopefully some of the rising female talent reaches the WNBA because I’ve seen a lot impressive play from college and high school even by female athletes.

This will never happen but they could really do their own thing by trimming down their size. Like even in mens ball theres so many talented players who are shorter that would never make the league, so im sure its the same in womens. Like you said whats the point of having someone like Griner trying to dunk when you can have someone thats like 5'2 - 5'7 doing something awesome.
