Oh boy, you bought a deus 2! I think it's a good news bad news machine. The good news is I think it's the lightest swinging detector you can buy and it will be a big difference for Christine to use over the Vanquish 540. The bad news is it's probably the most complicated detector you can buy to learn how to use properly and setup. If you're just getting started on it you probably should go online look at some of the videos on a good beach setting for it just to get yourself going because setting it up properly can be difficult. A lot of people take the head unit and just put it in their front pocket to make it even lighter swinging. Good luck with it!
Thanks... I do like the idea of removing the head. My arm gets tired. We are sorta trying it out with the option to buy.... the jury is out but I will def give it a try. It does seem complicated and I am in no hurry to stop using the NOX. I have watched some vids and I think the best advice was to just use factory settings until comfortable with the Deus...

Finally! Remote Control thingy mu-jig, "thats the technical term." LOL! I have been using the XP platform for some time. Had the back pack as well. Like it. Update the headphones to so that both are on same Ver. Mine had 2 diff V's and headphones would not work. Tighten all screws. RC goes on flat and slides straight down. Make sure it is seated flat to the RC mount on the shaft. Very easy to get one side off. It will pop off. I have already had the mount replaced. The new mount fits alot tighter than original. I always adjust RC factory programs or custom to wherever I am hunting on each hunt, then GB and lastly scan. Looking forward to ur XPD2 vids. Park mode uses square tones. Other programs will use PWM tones. Pwm offers much richer definition of the tones. Nice vid. New machines are always fun to experience.
So you pulled the trigger on the Deua II! Good for you guys. You should be finding a ton of nickels inland in hunted out sites and it is killer at the beach.

Cool cool.. The XpDeus2 now added to the collection of detectors. Thanks for the air tests on the Deus and the Nox. The Nox Vdi and tone is what I needed for a refreshing my head on gold tones. and numbers. I got to remember 7 and 16 or so. but gold will fall in any number on the nox. from 1 to 20 something.. Beach time Beach fun.. Got to dig it all to get the Goodies .. Thanks For a fun shared video..

@@DigginSoCal I have a complete colored (painted) set. And a few extras. My mother subscribed me to receive the complete set and for some reason I did not receive (or lost) one whole year. So I bought the extras on eBay. Carry on!
Great choice, just start with the preset settings, if it locks on to something try other presets to get to know the differences before you dig it out of the ground. Don't bother about finetuning at first it works great as it is for the learning curve. Remember to always charge everything at the same time especcially the mi pinpointer if you have it, it tends to loose connection if the battery gets drained. It will be fun! Personally i prefer the 9 inch disc, it's clearer and sharper on pinpointing at almost the same depth.
You both will like the D2 as its a lot lighter in weight to swing than other machines. The tones and VDI take more time as they are different than other machines, but on the beach, you mostly dig it all anyway. have fun with the new machine.I like my D2 so far, but I have the 9" coil for land hunting. Keep Digging, B and C! 😎
Good idea. We hunted today and if hunting grass parks it def goes deep. We backed off the sensitivity because we can’t dig that deep where we are. If we can find an older loc then it should do great. Really wanting to try it at a beach soon. Lots to learn about it for sure.

Wow! A new toy. The collective amount I’ve found still hasn’t paid off my Minelab 600. Unless the value of bottle caps is more than 3 cents, then I’m paid in full 2 times over.😁Fun video, but get that new toy to the beach see how it matches the Minelab.

However a lot of pull tabs also ring at 14. Just don’t care for them. “Oh, a solid 14. Another pull tab. Yoo hoo”
Love the back pack idea. While trying it out see if the Nox fits in the pack pack. Might be an option to just buy the backpack. Also really like the convenience of the front snack compartment. I also like s’more pop tarts haha

even with my Garrett 150, it rings different for nickels than other US coins, likely because of the high steel content of the nickel. On the downside it thinks pull tabs are rings. Cheers!
“A” park is looking so dry...the summer/drought/water conservation/global warming in so cal really has a lot of our parks looking pretty disgusting...hope you have a lot of success with the D2, but as well as you know the Eq800, you may just make the D2 a beach unit, because it really does well at the beaches(by many other videos I’ve seen)

Why didn't you test the XP on a toy car?!?! At the beach also test it on coins that are NOT laying flat. Put a couple on end and see if that effects the readings. Love your channel!
Be careful metal detecting alone In dark areas. Almost had to turn into Metal Detector Man as a homeless was trying to attack me on the beach at sundown.

The brown ones are June bugs and harmless. It's the green and yellow Japanese beetles that look like June bugs you have to watch out for. They will hit you if you are in their way.
Totally understand the review - its the so 'bright and shiny and new... but sad to see so many RUclips channels 'switching' to this machine... most of us can't afford this overpriced toy and pretty hard to relate. Love your content but a lot of that is fun because of the machines you both use... sorry to not be excited about this one.
I agree that it is very expensive... we are testing it out but I can tell you, we will not be handing in our Vanquish or Equinox detectors. We are really enjoying the Minelab detectors and will continue using them!
should have saved your money and got something better. gold, zinc pennies, and lead come up the same on that. youll be digging lots more trash with that.

The brown ones are June bugs and harmless. It's the green and yellow Japanese beetles that look like June bugs you have to watch out for. They will hit you if you are in their way.

It's water proof up to 66' that machine is a game changer.
Totally understand the review - its the so 'bright and shiny and new... but sad to see so many RUclips channels 'switching' to this machine... most of us can't afford this overpriced toy and pretty hard to relate. Love your content but a lot of that is fun because of the machines you both use... sorry to not be excited about this one.
I agree that it is very expensive... we are testing it out but I can tell you, we will not be handing in our Vanquish or Equinox detectors. We are really enjoying the Minelab detectors and will continue using them!
