The coaching staff should develop Sims to be the type of player that can defend big men that play in the perimeter like Porzingis and Horford. He has the youth, energy, athleticism and can develop the agility to defend the perimeter at a high level.
NY Knicks biggest weakness is the Center positions. The Knicks need to get Walker and Achiuwa for the Center positions. That will be a great improvement 👍.
Embiid and Porzingis are also injury prone players in April, not only Mitch. At times the Knicks can play Randle at the 5 against a player like Horford.
Answering these as I’m watching, I hated Randle prior but seeing what we did without him kinda shows me how he’s worth it. Randle on the team gives us a bull in a China shop and a top 5 pf in the league, when he’s up he’s up. That’s something we can’t replace with anyone that’s available. Yes his bad games make me hate him but I do believe he is worth it considering all the pieces we have, we don’t need him to be the number 1 or the number 2 anymore, he is in the perfect position with us now
With robinson the fact he can only operate out of the dunker spot isn't that big of a deal since he'll usually be out there with 4 people who can shoot the 3. His big issue his complete inability to hit a free throw. A guy who can dominate the offensive board but can't hit a ft is a liability when all they need to do is foul him.

I worry more about Randle having a negative impact than Robinson. Robinson is a major injury concern, but when healthy I think the level of offensive rebounding he brings is understated for the teams success. Hartenstein being an amazing offensive rebounder himself made it less apparent. But with I-Hart gone, the Knicks need a Dennis Rodman to get more offensive possessions into the hands of efficient players like OG and Brunson. That’s just a formula for winning basketball. Even the warriors AT TIMES heavily relied on Kevon Looney to create more possessions for curry and the warriors 3 pt heavy offense.

If you look at the playoffs last year, IHART didn't do what he did this year because it wasn't necessary. Mitch is the one who stole Cleveland's big men's lunch boxes and gobbled down the twinkies right in front of them not IHART. Each bought something different to the party and having both or the skillsets of both provided the greatest flexibility.

I disagree. If everyone is healthy leading into the playoffs, the Knicks have more than enough scoring. Just like the Pistons & Bulls didn't need Dennis Rodman to put the ball in the basket, the Knicks don't need Mitchell Robinson to worry about that either. Defend, block shots, clear the boards, get that key offensive rebound down the stretch, make your free throws and he's PERFECT for this team. The backup situation is different. From what I have read, they have Simms working hard on his offensive game because when the 2nd unit is on the floor, he would be the roll man in the big/little pick and roll. So he has to be able to convert more like Hartenstein. But with the 1st unit, Randle can set the pick for Brunson and now the defense has a problem. If you switch that, you have a small guarding Randle and he's about to be posted up. If you blitz it, Jalen hits a pocket pass to Randle, swing, swing and either OG or Bridges has an open corner 3. If you go under, then Jalen has an open 3.
Why are we still talking about Hartenstein offense? Te man would not get that much touches with Bridges and Randle on this lineup. Knicks offense will be alright. Randle is a 25 and 10 guy, Bridges provides 20pts and 4 Rebs a game. Hartenstein is a career back up center, a journeyman that had a great season in a contract year. Randle was hurt and we didn’t have Bridges last YR. If you think IHart was going to have the ball in his hands making decisions a lot with those guys on the team this yr you’re crazy.

I was against Julius Randle staying on this team. But now with OG and Bridges in tow, I want him to stay and we can win it all. I think Leon rose resign Randle and I hope we get Kessler soon. Tom's not going anywhere,, neither is Julius or Mitch. You answered your own questions. They're gonna be fine. Thibs will figure it out. No team will be able to guard Randle the way they have in the playoffs before. Julius knows he needs to prove himself in the playoffs and he will. For Mitch it's next man up if he goes down. With the addition of Bridges they will cover what Mitch doesn't do on offense. Perimeter bugs can sometimes be covered by OG or even Randle if needed. Then there's the mental aspect. Thibs has them playing at such a high level they beat Philly and took the Packers to seven games. It only gets tougher with Bridges. No worries Marshall. Don't be one of those clowns who wind up eating their words by doubting this team. It is what it is. Accept it and move on. The Knicks have. They're all in.
