"The Dark Knight Returns", we have gotten a lot of Pyro characters at this point but Diluc will always be iconic for his design and animations, Arlecchino or Mavuika may have gotten a more refined model with a lot more bells and whistles but Diluc is just *chef kiss*
meta is temporary but diluc is forever as a top 1% c6r5 diluc main, i enjoy him so much and his playstyle is so simple and straightforward. as flashier dps' came out as well the improving ease of access and qol that many came after, he has still remained simple and easy to latch onto. his infusion lasting even after switching out is still very good and helpful when i need to swirl pyro again. diluc does take more effort and investment to make good but when you do get him to that point, he excels really well and can put out some high damage. his melt team (c6 kaeya, c2 kazu, and c6 bennett) is my go-to when doing the spiral abyss and consistently gets me 36 stars. tl;dr: my babygirl will never leave my heart
@@odin1303 i use wolf's gravestone. i wanted it for drip so bad and also built all of his builds around it. currently, he's sitting at 2.1k attack and 77.9/202.3 ratio and 203 em. he's my most invested character cause i love him so much
He's just the Pyro Archon basically (& one of my favorite Genshin characters of all time 😊)And nothing will change my mind. Oh, and could you cover Kaeya at some point? He's also highly underrated (and works far too well with Diluc, ironically)
What the fun when you can easily deal high damage by using meta characters. I find challenges like making old character shine again more interesting to do
It's crazy how much I started enjoying the game when I decided to ignore "the meta". It was like when I first started playing... that feeling of wonder because I am not concerned with whether my comp is meta or not. To that point, I started running a Diluc > Emily> XL > Cloud Retainer team and I love it. Is it optimal? No. Is Diluc the top damage source? Nope... Emilie ends up doing more damage from off-field lol. But it's fun! I don't even plunge... I run it with Witch set to weave attacks and skill hits with Diluc but if I want to plunge a little to change it up that's what CR is for besides her heals...
Yep. I just pull for who I want. I liked neuvilette, so I pulled for him. One year later, when he used to be regarded as the best or one of the best DPS’ in the game, people are already saying that Mualani is better, or that Arle and Mavuika have powercrept him. Despite being one of the best DPS still, ppl are already over him lol. I don’t really care about the power creep tho, because I still like his character. So at the end of the day just pull for who you want because not even the strongest characters are safe in the ever changing meta.
I want ti say that Diluc didnt get powercrept. Its just that the shape if the game has changed, if that makes since. His skill is made fir singke target damage, and his burst was made to dealnwith waves of enemies. Because when you shoot it at a boss, the damage consistency is different deoend in how much of the attac can acrually hit them. Then you jave all that wasted damage flying off the screen. When normally itll his smaller enemies multiole times and carry them. Not only that, once he lets it go, he cant maintain constant elemental application to di mire damage. Yes he applies pyro after his burst, but that damage diesnt carry the same burst damage multipliers. I bet if they changed that so his damage could be consistent, he'd be a lot better. Maybe make his burst so hit can linger in one area before it leaves, and give his normal attacks burst multiolier damage. Now to be meta, he has to do olunging attacks. But the inly way ti consistently do that is to have Xianyun. You shouldnt need a character to give you access to something you already have. Then they spit Diluc's face by giving that very mechanic too Xiao and Gaming.
How about Sigewine? Do you think she deserves to be at standart banner, if someday Hoyo decided to remove her to there? Also if Hoyo want atleast 1 b5 from Inazuma & Fontaine in standart banner who do you think will be a perfect candidate?
Jesus christ, so his "resurgence" is due to him being played like a Xiao? And thats somehow good? Imagine thinking spamming plunge attacks is good gameplay
@notaspeck6104 great way to overlook the fact that genshin fails miserable on making any character interesting on the mechanic level and strawmanning my point, some people find eating poo "fun", is that gonna be a defense next? And this isnt a small indie company its a multi billion dollar corporation that are absolutely fine with delivering sloppily designed gameplay with good looking presentation, if your standard are this low its no wonder the industry is regressing lol
