    Here is a dua to protect against shirk;
    Arabic:
    الَّلهُمَّ إِنِّي أَعُوذُ بِكَ أَنْ أُشْرِكَ بِكَ وأَنا أَعلَمُ وأَستَغفِرُكَ لما لا أَعلَمُ
    Transliteration:
Allāhumma innī a`ūdhu bika an ushrika bika wa anā a`lamu wa astaghfiruka limā lā a`lam.
    Translation:
O Allah, I seek refuge with You from knowingly associating partners with You, and I seek Your forgiveness for that which I do not know.

    INTERCESSION (waseela)Yesterday and Today
Mushrekeen say “We only worship them to draw nearer to Allaah” (Az-Zumar 39:3)
Now remember when I said that this actions was “similar” to the practice of some of the people who ascribe to Islaam today who endorse this sort of so-called “tawassul”… I did not say “identical” but rather “similar” for a reason. There are some very important differences between them and the people of today.
    1) The people in the time of the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) knew what they were doing was worship, and they knew that it was in direct contradiction to the message of “laa ilaaha ill-Allaah” they were being invited to, and thus they fought him over it with their lives and wealth.
    2) The people of today who do this while ascribing to Islaam believe their practice is endorsed by Islaam!! And they believe they are worshipping Allaah upon tawheed! So, as pointed out by our scholars, the people of today who worship Allaah “through” the deceased are more ignorant of the meaning of Islaam than the polytheists of Makkah who fought against our Messenger (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam)!
    3) Furthermore, the people of today sometimes use intercessors that were irreligious themselves, sometimes even polytheists who taught shirk, while the people of Makkah used angels and prophets to intercede for them (which was/is still shirk).
From these few points, you can see how even the polytheists of Makkah who fought against the Prophet (sallallaahu ‘alayhe wa sallam) were more knowledgeable about the meaning of worship, tawheed, shirk, and thus Islaam, than the moderen endorsers of so-called “tawassul” through the deceased.

Oops I didn't read the second part of your comment. Yes, God also judges our beliefs and faith. That's something that can't be seen by the human eye and only God knows. So if you believe in a God other than Allah, then yes that's shirk. At least if it's a consistent belief that you hold true in your heart. That's why Islam is based on both faith and morality. Not just one or the other.

I’m learning about Islam. Can some one answer this question for me.
Why modern Salafis don’t wear turbans? The original Salafs did
The Prophet Muhammads turban was green, why only Sufis wear green turbans?
I have find so many Hadith of Salfs talking to people in the graves and making Tawassul with the Prophet, why modern Salafs don’t allow?
Why all Muslims in the world say in their ATTAHIYAT salams to the Prophet if he is not alive?
If only we ask Allah for help, why dose the Prophet makes intercession in Judgment day?
Is it haram to Ask the Prophet for help?
The angel Gabriel helped many Prophets and Prophets ask for his help. Did they committed Shirk because they were asking help from an Angel?
If some one talks to a Jinn is it haram? Why did Muhammad talk to theJinn then?
If you call yourself Salafi will you be Judge by that standard?
Why String music is haram if Prophet David played the Harp, prophets don’t commit any sin, right?
    ….

I could go on and on, please help me understand.
Please can some one help me answer this questions?

Salam, that's the secret every muslim should know, you commit shirk when you see the world saperate from Allah, when you see Allah everywhere there won't be any shirk,
But how can be creation god?
How can a pig be god?
Answer- yes,how can a pig be god? It is possible only in creation, it shows you everything expect god, it shows you non believers, it shows everything but Allah, makes you commit shirk, creation shows you unreal as real. The polytheism Is not only worshipping other gods but also incapable of seeing oneness in creation.

When a man is in the masjid to pray and he sees someone and he Beautifies his prayer.
    - Minor Shirk is to corrupt your intentions, in order to get the praise of people.
    - we called it “ Riyaa” showing off
    - a sign of Hypocrite.
    - when you do something thinking other then Allah, Allah leaves to the partner you’re associating with him, to reward you.
Hafiz- why did you memorize Quran?
    You lied.

If you’re really in search of truth. Then you should first allow your mind to think. Stop brainwashing yourself daily. Christians aren’t reciting “Jesus the Son of God died for my sins” 5 times daily to believe in this truth.
What you repeatedly say to yourself, regardless of its validity, becomes your truth and belief.
    Your words are powerful.
You will always believe whatever you recite.
Be careful what you daily recite. 🙏🏾

Also aren't there more forms of Minor Shirk then showing off in Prayer and doing good deeds?

Dogs saliva contains germs which causes diseases and illness so that's why .
one woman went to janna just because she gave water to thirsty dogs and one went to hell just because she enslaved cat in chains . so animals are part of creation and their mercy is also needed and we need to take care
