I can also imagine a similar ride but a faster and more exciting interactive shooting dark thrill ride into different video games that'll be themed to different video games and video game franchises!
That would be awesome, especially if it includes indie games like FNAF or Bendy Like imagine the Alien movie segment of the ride but with the Ink demon of Bendy and the Ink Machine
I wanna see this ride transformed into a Disney Villains themed ride called "Disney's Great Movie Villain Ride - A Thrilling Journey with Disney Movie Villains"! Maybe the planned Runaway Railway ride should be built in a new location with a newer building or maybe have the movie villain ride in the new building, one based on El Capitan Theatre!

Maybe, the ride should've included some STAR WARS scenes, a battle scene from Marvel's The Avengers, a scene from Disney's Frozen, some scenes from the Pirates of the Caribbean franchise and some scenes from other Disney movies!
Maybe, there could be an awesome fast STAR WARS movie thrill ride that could take guests on a fast and thrilling journey through some awesome scenes in all the STAR WARS movies that could be similar to this ride, but faster, more exciting, more different and features a lot of awesome scenes and characters from all the STAR WARS movies!

With Extraterrorestrial Alien Encounter, its Invasion! game, and this ride soon to be gone, seems to be that there will be more sources of the Alien movie found at the Disney Parks.
The cowboy takeover scene was only ever used, apparently, when four ride vehicles were ready to go as people got onto the ride. I never got the cowboy scene in my 4 times of riding since 2010. Always just got the gangster takeover scene.

Pirates and Haunted Mansion are timeless--as in stuck in time, and also based in fiction. I love The Great Movie Ride as much as the next guy, and I really hope they find a place to display the props and costumes you're currently able to see in the lobby. But! This attraction has needed an update for -eons-. Most of the younger generations are clueless about what/who they're seeing so the ride doesn't have that same feeling for them as is does for cronies like me. Like it or not, time trudges on and an attraction like this really needs to be kept up-to-date, and I imagine that's far too expensive a prospect for Disney to keep throwing money at.
mara295 Haunted Mansion has a few outdated jokes (Great Ceaser's Ghost) and do I need to mention what they're doing to Pirates if Pirates is so timeless why do we change it to make it right for our modern sensibilities. At least to me most of these scenes can be taken as genres like Western and Gangster films without knowing the respective films they're based on. But I do agree that a few scenes should've been updated and replaced with somewhat more modern movies (Though I would've kept Singing in the Rain and Casablanca but even if it is a classic familiar to modern audiences would've removed the Fantasia segment as it's probably the worst segment) Oh well they're replacing it anyway I hope the new attraction at least references the GMR at least once and I hope the animatronics are put to good use.

I'm excited for the new ride. But why do we have to lose this? I'm arriving at Disney world tomorrow and during my trip I'm gonna have my last ride.

Being very old ride, I'm glad it is being replaced with a more modern attraction. The ride will live forever on the internet.

Pirates and Haunted Mansion are timeless--as in stuck in time, and also based in fiction.
